Description How would machines or AI visually interpret data outside what humans consider the visual spectrum? How would these things translate to our own senses? My concept of "technochroma" is twofold, and to me, loosely means "the spectrum of possibilities achieved by augmenting human creativity with technology, but in turn increasing the inherent artistic value of such art created through use and consideration of fundamental artistic principles."

1) Humans born with a specific genetic mutation that grant them an extra set of cones (structures in the human eye that allow us to see color) in addition to red, green and blue are called tetrachromats; tetra for four and chroma for color. This is an exceedingly rare gift, for tetrachromats can literally see and interpret a greater variety and subtlety of colors because of the increased sensitivity to color information granted to them through that extra type of cone. While it is impossible for me to ever be a tetrachromat, I always seek to grow and develop my understanding and use of color in both art and design.

2) The embrace of art executed through technology and the consideration of perspectives and compositions resultant of the unique, creative, often experimental and exploratory workflow of fractal design which can spawn limitless and often unexpected mathematical possibilities. The modeling and projecting of nature and natural phenomenon are often explored, like the chaotic clouds of a nebula, or the whimsicality of colored ink drops in water.

The image is an Apophysis and Chaotica fractal. Really happy with this one. I am also animating this fractal - you can check out a work-in-progress on Vimeo: vimeo.com/141370321

Used some of ChaosFissure 's unstructured fractalling techniques in creating the base of the fractal in Apophysis, before working it heavily in Chaotica.
