I can never decide on an animal that suits me best. Whether you call them fursonas or mascots or totems or whatever... Probably because I have so many favorites. My favorite group of animals, not because i like them best but because I like ALLLLLLLLLLL of the equally, are ungulates. My favorite land animals are parrots, but personality-wise, I'm more of a cockatoo-like person, plus my dream has always been to go to Australia and I have two budgies (Australian birds) as pets. But as far as what I "look" like or that whole question of if-I-were-turned-into-an-animal-what-would-I-be question, I really have to lean towards a kangaroo even though I don't even think they are that cool haha. Then it seems that there are always two types of people. Cat people and dog people. I'm a dog person and my favorite dog is a dobermann, so I want to represent that too. Oh, but the worst part is that my favorite biome (and hopefully where my career will be since I'm studying it) is marine environment. But I couldn't figure a way to add water/fish stuff into a desert-themed animal. So, I made the eyes like a cuttlefish which are my favorite ocean animals, oh I made them blue for the water.
In the end, I was thinking, "Jee, I can never decide! Wait a second, people draw weird hybrid spirit god animal griffon things all the time, why can't I?" Normally, I suck at this kind of animal creativity, but I immediately had a picture in mind, and SOMEHOW -- SOMEHOW -- it actually came out exactly how I pictured it.
I still haven't decided if I want to do white wings or not.. cockatoos are white, but I love all parrots, so I'm not sure if I want to do a macaw which is almost tied for favorite it's so high up there. I also kind of wanted to do a feathery tail, but I felt like there was an imbalance of my antelope parts, so I made it hair. So, maybe I'll make some tweaks, but honestly, this is THE BEST animal-sona-mascot-totem thing I've ever done yet, so I'll be messing with it some more I think.

Very nice! I'm not sure which animal suits you best, but I love this hybrid design! You do some nice creature work.

Well, Im not a cat person at all, but once I figure out if my allergy is from the dander or the saliva, I might be able to get one as a kitten and then I might like cats better, because my problem is that every cat I've met is not my kind of pet -- i like pets that want to cuddle and spend time with you, and a lot of cats only do that with one person or are more independent, so they just rub my leg, so I pet them, and they either scratch me or run away, then I touch my face on accident and have an allergic reaction.

AH. That makes sense. Perhaps birds are more your thing. Jaz certainly ain't complaining! Neither is Nickernoodles... but he is a spaz if I leave the room and he doesn't want me to.
