Description
Chun Li (street fighter) and Hotaru (Garou:MOTW) training.I labeled this a Work In Progress because I really didn't like how this came out, and i'm going to redo this soon. I'm just submitting it anyway because it's been forever since I've done anything on this page.
For starters, I need to get much better with line work. If anyone knows any helpful hints for scanning or anything, please drop a line!

Maybe it's just me, but I don't see what you're unhappy about. I guess the only thing would be the lines in the waterfalls don't quite blend in, but everything else looks great!

eh, my biggest problem is often when I'm working on a painting, I allow my subconscious mind to take over, and end up rushing the project. I didn't intend on this piece looking like some of my other past works. I know how I wanted this one to look, and I know I can do it.
I don't think overall it's a terrible piece, but it's not what I really wanted.

Well, if that's really how you feel, then I definitely would give it another go. Try to keep your mind focused on the work and not any sort of time going by. Cover up your clock.
No reason to rush art unless you're in an art class, and even then it's better to take your time and get the finished product you're happy with.

you have a tablet, right? if you scan in something, just draw over it and hopefully the line art will be better? *shrugs* I normally draw things onto the photoshop first then go from there, but that's just me.

I've done that with a few pieces. However I have seen people with excellent lines that were just hand drawn and scanned in. I'm still trying out different ways of scanning to come up with better results.
