My favorite games in the series are Super Paper Mario and Sticker Star. Why everyone is whining about Color Splash even though they never played the game yet if it is not out?

The reason people are whining about Color Splash is that we already gotten what the game will be play like, as a Sticker Star 2, and Sticker Star is considered the weakest of the series because it taken what made Paper Mario in the first place: Story. Paper Mario is called Mario Story in japan. You can't just remove story from a game series that are actually about stories. And the battle system was also the big key for the series. The more you fight, the stronger you get. But Sticker Star and Color Splash does nothing like that. It makes it boring and players don't even bother to go in battles. So yes, Paper Mario 64, Thousand Year Door, and Super Paper Mario are the only Paper Mario games. Any game afterwards are just generic Mario games with Paper slapped in it.
I'm glad you like Sticker Star, and that are considered it your favorite. But sadly that doesn't change the fact that it doesn't have any qualities to what makes it a Paper Mario game.
