Personality: Runi has calmed down a bit, at least to a manageable level, thanks in part to his time at the Academy, and especially thanks to spending time with his low-energy girlfriend (pssst that's a secret as far as she's concerned). He is still very energetic, however, and everyone is still his best friend. Now that Runi feels he has a purpose at the Academy, he is able to focus his energy into more productive things, such as practice and training. His competitive nature has come to the surface, and he loves making and accepting random challenges just to see if he can do it and/or beat others at it. Fortunately, his borderline egotism is tempered by his clumsy tendencies. Ultimately, Runi isn't afraid to make mistakes and learn from them.
Brief Bio: Runi comes from a rather inconspicuous family from Crescent Reservoir. His father fishes on the lake, and his mother is a caretaker for the elderly. No one in his family has ever been a knight, so it came as a surprise when people who knew his family heard that little Runi was going to the Skyloft Academy. Knowing Runi's energetic nature and physical dexterity, however, they didn't second-guess his ability to succeed. Runi's parents love him dearly, and they often come to Skyloft to visit him. Runi finds their love a little overbearing at times, though.
Additional Info:

Runi has a thing for colors, and will often make bracelets, necklaces, and fingerwraps from dyed clothes and other materials to either wear or hand out (he's never really thought about selling them).
The symbol on his sailcloth is supposedly his family crest, but it probably just something his mother came up with.
Runi has been letting his hair grow out again, and he's grown some sideburns. He's also become more physically fit through tireless training and free-running.

Notes on Tolly: Not much has changed for the loftwing Tolly in his time at the Academy with Runi. He still has a high tendency to space out, even when you're talking directly to him. Otherwise, Tolly is a very talented and devoted loftwing. He'll do whatever Runi asks him, if he's paying attention.
