Description
10" x 13" color pencilDag-nabit! I shudda knowed better than to buy anythin' from that door-to-door tree and cat salesman! *walks out on porch and shakes cane* "Dang leopard, get outta my tree!!!" *throws old shoe* . *mumbles* third one this week....
Another so-so photo. I'll replace it with a scan sometime this week.
This is something of a speed draw. I used some techniques experimentally to see if I can get a reasonably complex piece out in a week or less. Forewent a lot of my usual fur detail and went with a lot of shading.ย
I'll be picking at this for a couple more days.
Been wanting to practice leopard spots for ever now. Still need practice so got another one planned soon.
As always, comments

I love the composition. I always fail by drawing leapards on trees especially if they`re anthros.
For the spots I would suggest you to look up a refrence. I've noticed some things.
Usually the spots on the tail get larger and go more in the lengh with some stripes and the end and a black tip.
On the back the spots are bigger and near to the middle and nearer togethter so that it gets almost black.
The markings on the head follow the same direktion but the don't are that bid and there are not these "gaps" between them. It's more regulary.
Also your leopard is colored kinda dark... but I may be because of the shading.
I still really like this piece it's nice to see leopard anthros I don't see them that often
I would only with a more detailed bachgoround.
And sorry for my english. I hope I could help you (:

I love how your composition is so makes the animals look human when there clearly not. Beautiful work!

I really love the way you draw the muscles on your characters! They look so realistic and believable, and gracious too!

until you pointed out the lack of your normal fur detail, i never noticed. you put just enough and in just the right places that the shading and colouring made it virtually unnoticeable.
i'd say your experiment along those lines was a success.
i also would like to say that your patterning was spot on, but i've been told i make too many puns, so i probably shouldn't

Sorry, forgot to click on that. Moderate is a default setting. Thanks for the heads up.

Doesn't seem like anything to censor.

Hadn't thought about it much but jade would seem most likely.
