I did this once. My little Bell Temper got out and my young cat thought she'd make a tasty snack. Thankfully, little Mara dropped her tail and hide in my parents room, screaming her head off. Enough to wake us up. Mara's tail has since grown back.

I remember when Gertie-my gecko- ecsaped her tank and she was face to face with my dog when I got upstairs. I thought the dog would eat her but he just walked away, wasn't even interested. What a relief .

If he's seen you hanging out with Gertie a lot then he may have made the connection that you value him and he's not food. Or he's just seen the gecko enough times that it doesn't really phase him any more. XD My cat only seems to show interest if it looks like I'm about to walk away, but she seems to know that the gecko is my "prey" and not her's. lol

I've had lizards escape this way before, though thankfully I've always found them before they starved.

I remember my most recent one, Snow, managed to crawl through a crack between my cage's sliding door and the cage wall. Lost her for 2 weeks. found her, then kept her for 3 days and lost her for another 3 weeks. Found her again and then saw her attempting another escape. So now I make sure to close it all the way.

They can be little escape artists, can't they? Glad you found her though.

I'm sorry. I hope I didn't offend. >.<

This is the first of two comics under this subject. Lazy survives though.

I suppose this will be motivation to actually check my livejournal(s) once in awhile.

lol I'm in the same boat. I'm hardly ever on LJ any more. I guess I've found new outlets for my venting. Most of the people I watch don't read my LJ either so I guess it evens out.

Lack of internet outside of work keeps me from keeping up with things like my Livejournal and when I do go back I feel bad that I haven't been keeping up with the few people I watch on it. :C
