Description This is an AT - PT from star wars, similar to the AT-AT and the AT-ST, but for one person only.

I didnt invent this, the idea is from "star wars, the essential guide to vehicles and vessels"

Although its not my idea, I did build it totaly from scratch in about 5 hours.

I am quite proud of this so If you make fun of it, I wont care...thank you.

I'd prefer to see this mosel against plain black than that sky.

Kickass - I think it would look nicer with a gritty/dirty metal texture, though.

Looks great, lol, there's a dude with the name Myn-Donos!? I'm trying to remember which Stackpole novel he's from now, Wraith Squadron perhaps...anyway, whoever said "the barrels need room for the gasses to expand to allow the bullet to escape FYI..." doesn't know much about star wars, and small arms. The AT-PT uses blasters and a concussion grenade launcher as its only offensive weapon. The blasters are energy based weapons, not projectile like the person inferred. And about the small arms racket, the bullet is slightly larger than the barrel, sealing the gasses behind it, which push the round through the rifled barrel, hence the loud BAM when you fire.

Indeed the person has never heard on Tibanna Gas. However, the thing that he was describing is a muzzle brake for fully automatics weapons. When equipped it helps keep the muzzle centered on the target and helps prevent the barrel from clibing (aka: up and to the right) when firing...but he didnt describe it right either.

This is great, man. It's also nice to see one of the little-known vehicles from Star wars getting a little attention.

Yep, really nice. Even I don't think it would be that shiny

Nah, its a render, all by me.

Ill explain what your seeing:
This is a render in 3D studio max 4 with the test version of the brazil render engine. (its like 4.0.34 or somthing...I cant remember) That contributes to a bit of the grain due to the settings i used. After that it was off to ps7. I used contrast, saturation and the whole bit, then I decided to add a tiny bit of noise and then gaussian it a tiny bit.

Its totaly supposed to look the way it is. If you dont like it like this, youll just have to wait for anouther version.

Wow...pretty cool! Reminds me a lot of my 3D mech...only better
What program did you use? The scene looks like a Bryce creation but the mech looks waaaay too complicated for Bryce.

Also, and I'm not doubting the validity of your work, I'm just wondering....is this picture a scan? Because the full sized image looks a little grainy and it has some spots in it that make it look like it was scanned. Did you print it and then scan it instead of re-rendering or something? Just wondering

Great model though!

yea, that thick end piece on the end of larger gun barrels is to allow air to vent out laterally as the expanding gases rush out of the barrel, and not pushing the bullet in random directions as it first exits the tip.. FYI

Looks great... what prog did you use?

I suggest changing the color scheme of the metal, slightly.. or the sky.... putting something of the same colors against the background of the same colors... bad idea.. can't make out some stuff. I mean, in real life yea, that happens, but when you are able to plan out the scene, it's best to plan it out, but make it look natural, ya know?

I do like the black plane, as the ground though.. that's kinda neat.... and saves you having to make rocks and boulders and shrubs and shit

Star Wars weapons dont fire bullets...they energize and then discharge Tibanna Gas, which is what they were mining on Cloud City in the Empire Strikes Back. Henceforth, thats probably not a muzzle brake in the traditional sense. But it probably does something similar. I had always thought that those things further compressed the gas into a tighter stream to keep it from disappating and giving the weapon a longer range.

Wow, lovely.
the gun barrels need holes in, and some texture on the background would be nice. But its very nice indeed.

Comment on soemthing of mine!
