Yeah I submitted this like 20 mins ago, but I had to change the angel, add a bumpmap of dents, add reflectivity and an HDRI.Brazil test renderd, and modled in 3dsmax5 in about 5 hours.
If youve seen ghost in the shell and know somthing I could fix, plese tell me because I didnt have the greatest sourse images.

This tank creeped me out in the movie. whats worse than a tank that looks like a big ass spider? one that shoots hv rounds and av missiles at you. "shudder" good job though!

i can see only one problem with it, those cupolas on top of the forward legs, i distinctly recall from the movie that each of them mounted an anti-personnel machine gun.
their hard to see in the movie, but if you pay enough attention in the scene you do see at least one of them firing in an attempt to stop the major from getting on top of the tank.
still, sweet model, one of my favorite tanks of all time.

I love this. When I first watched Ghost in the Shell as a teenager it really had an impact on me, especially the scene with that tank. I loved the practical industrial design, the attention to detail. If you look carefully when Motoko is shooting the "head" of the tank you can see the iris in one of the two frontal cameras closing to block out the excessive light. Around 2000-2001 I tried modelling my own version of a tank but my skills were pretty awful back then. Still, i'll upload it in scraps if you want to see it.
Anyway, you did a great job with this. The only thing I would suggest is that the tank isn't shiny. The paintwork is dull and weathered in the anime as far as I can tell.

Hey, I saw the first movie, and your version is verrrrrry similar to the animated one. But I though the white eyeball on it's head was round and had 3 dots in it (which were suppose to be it's eyes).
Maybe if you search on YouTube you might find some better sources.. or just buy the movie. I tell you, it's good, relay good. Though very philosophical.

hey thats the robot thats in the first movie where major over uses her prostetic muscles trying to destroy it and she completely tears her body apart because since her body is highly reinforced she nearly killed herself but then bato fireing the high powered missle and saved her life!

Agree with the comment on making it less reflective. The original from the first movie is in a matte finish (from what i can remember !).
Would like to see it in some pose, a nice spotlight or rather a BrazilRS arealight maybe and some slight DOF (if ya can stand the rendering time !)

I must say that your Multi-Ped. is sensational since you have never even seen GITS.
I agree that Tachikomas would be a good project for you; I'm sure you would do it justice!
