Description
This is the walkthrough of my Regency Portrait photomanip, paint-over, whatever you want to call it, using a lot of painting techniques - i.e., you're not going to get results this good without knowing a lot about painting.I recently bought a book of tutorials on Painter, and one showed how to use cloning and glazing techniques to create an oil-style portrait out of a photograph, with results that looked like an actual painting instead of a badly-cloned paintover. Naturally, I had to try it.
This is a walkthrough rather than a tutorial, without the details of what I did, though, because you should really buy this book if you're serious about learning some nifty techniques. It's The Complete Guide to Digital Painting, a collection of tutorials from the Corel Painter magazine.
