~curryQ doesn't have any WIPs in her gallery. isn't it strange...?
and they're with mature content, although you don't need it... maybe to avoid that artists recognize their own work?! AND why only the FIRST recent deviations have that filter...?
oh well, I seem to be spend much time thinking about this
what I mean is, if you upload art in progress, it proves your talent and skill as an artist. Besides, it's always interesting to see how art get its final condition.
This picture looks very awesome... I love bright colors, and this picture contains MUCH of them

Curry Q also uploaded a painting by Bouguereau and claimed it was her own work even after I questioned her on it several times. It has seince been removed along with many of the other paintings she claimed was her own

If I do that, my conscious would kill me.
Already warned some deviants about that... it's very rude in my eyes.

that's a good thing. But it's seems that there are still some works that aren't hers...

I suspect so, unfortunately on the rest I dont know whose they really are and so cant PROVE they are not hers.

even dA is huge, and it'd be a huge effort to search for the original artists... but, IF there are some people who knows that her work is just copied, I don't think that they'll believe her anymore.
also... it's possible that she buys them and then put them here at dA. That was the first thought coming to my mind...

hm... okay, let's say she intend to get some attention. I "stalked" her dA acitivtiy and found out that she's commenting on several deviants, they should have a look at her page/deviations...

That's funny, because ol' Darkdesyre here has stolen someone's work, too, and SHE CLAIMS IT IS HER ORIGINAL WORK THAT SHE PAINTED FROM LIFE. The original is a portrait by Jeffrey Mims called "Jessica" [link] , and Darkdesyre here has copied it and called it "Diana" (its the one she uses as her icon). I ask everyone who reads this to demand that she remove her "Diana" from this site immediately.
Disgusting. Hypocrite. Thief.

This is amazing. My graphics program doesn't allow for such detail, at least not that I've found. Beautiful.

I use only Photoshop CS3 partly because its one of the programs I teach at the art college I work at. I also have my palette loaded in my gallery if you ever want to use the skin colors.

I'll definitely have a go at that when I get the chance. I also have to tell you that your news articles and deviations have really helped and inspired me. I've learned quite a lot, as I've never had the opportunity to take a real art class. Your tutorials and such are greatly appreciated.

Great job! I must say though, I like your traditional art. Those of us who still use brushes are becoming rare on here! I needed to force myself to stop using the tablet too much. "undo" is an unbelievable thing, not to mention layers, filters, smudge...You get my drift. I have set up my oils right next to my computer for this reason

Darkdesyre In reply to angotti81 [2008-04-18 14:54:18 +0000 UTC]
Well they both have their merits and Im learning to use them for the strengths they offer. I have started doing my composition and color studies for paintings because its so easy to move things around and adjust colors. But digital art for me never feels as satisfying as painting and feeling a brush against the canvas. The challenges in painting are much greater because it is so much more difficult to "fix" things that are off. Sometimes it would be great to have an undo in painting

angotti81 In reply to Darkdesyre [2008-04-18 15:18:46 +0000 UTC]
Absolutely. I always start something in photoshop in practice for painting and end up just finishing it on photoshop. It is just too easy to adjst proportions move things etc. but I always like my paintings better because i feel I earned the result as opposed to taking a shortcut.
i think i brought all this up because i dont want another great painter to become a digital artist

You dont have to worry about that, the only time I paint digitally is when Im in class and my students dont need me and Im away from the studio. Given the chance Id rather be holding a brush, I promise
