Description This feels like the first thing I've finished in too long, but really, it's only been a week. Either way, it's been a fair amount of angsting about something extremely trivial. Clearly the only answer here was to draw my therapy guy.

The flat-color-on-texture thing here was inspired by looking at *Stregatto10 's line art, and the idea of putting Dalton in his sexy long coat again was because of *Makio-Kuta .

Pencil and PS; textures are by `Princess-of-Shadows and ~ewark , and I used brushes by ~arsgrafik .

This guy I like.
VERY much. I can't say why, really, but I guess it's the clothes in combination with the hair, glasses and expression. He just looks absolutely delicious x3

The flow in the cape is awesome and I must say that I like the way you work with folds.
And his face is just... yum.

YAAAAY! Thanks so much! I think this guy is *shideh 's favorite of my characters too. Must be that glasses power! I'm really glad you like the folds, I was really trying to make them look cool in this pic in particular.

I totally want to do an art trade with you sometime, but alas, I have a million-mile-long list of things to do. If you want, though, I could totally add you to my equally-million-mile-long trade wait list (which is only so long because I'm slow slow slow... )!

My list is a bit too long too, but as long as we both know that neither of us will do it long before the other - because both have other things to do - I think it's alright
We'll just have to wait a while and see if we have more time then, but to already have a spot for it feels nice

(And yes, I'm trying to comment on some pictures now, sorry for being so late But this is how I do things, it seems )

I absolutely love it.And not only because he's Dalton and he's unbelievably good looking.
I mean the choice of colours is great,the pose is perfect,the clothes are fabulous and the patterns in the background are just the perfect final touch.Everything is so very well coordinated.

Engh, sometimes dA does that with people... it seems pretty random, from what I can tell. But you got around to it now, so it's all good! Thank you much. I'm really fond of how this turned out. I think more well-shaped men need to wear old-fashionedy form-fitting outfits.

Ah, thank you!! Weirdly enough, he seems to be the favorite character of a LOT of people who are watching me, which I find strange because he's incredibly minor. XD BUT I LOVE DRAWING HIM, so I can't complain!

Yes, Farael might be my favorite-favorite, but Dalton has some SERIOUS appeal. I'm really glad you like this one! It sort of came along at the tail end of what I thought would be a long frustrating art-block and totally broke me out of it.

While I'm a huge proponent of almost any historical-type fashions, wigs I just hate. LET THAT HAIR FLY, GUYS. XD

Those textures and brushes and stuff were all found on dA, I think I linked the people in my comment. You can totally use them, I'm completely in love with the handwriting brushes and the encyclopedia stock.
