Description OKAY, this was so much fun that I decided I absolutely had to do it with Rian too, since a lot of these styles treat men and women differently.

1. Tem normal. Rian's looking a little devious here.

2. KINUKO AGAIN [link] Her style is MUCH more recognizable AND easier when you're doing this with a girl.

3. Not much to say here... I don't think she came out quite as well as Farael did in this style.

4. Now, THIS... this I think looks really good. She's like an amalgam of Belle, Ariel, Tinkerbell and Cinderella.

5. Based a little on Evangeline Lilly, who's my ideal cast for Rian in the (not real and totally fabricated) Astral Arcana movie. [link] [link]

6. Pokemon! Do you have ANY idea how hard it is to find a female character in Pokemon who has even WAVY hair, let alone curly?! So I had to fudge the hair. Those eyes are a little terrifying.

7. Guess who this is?! I chose a MUCH more famous deviant this time, and one with a much different style from my own.

And all the styles look great again, but nothing like the original one to show her personality best. Also I got #7 right away! 8D

AGH I KNOW, doing both this and the one with Farael made me want to draw them in Disney style as a prince and princess. LOL VANITY PROJECTS...

Oh, awesome! Thanks so much, I'm glad you recognized her. She's my favorite, and I was really proud of that particular drawing. :3

The Disney one was a lot of fun. I kept wanting to add details to the hair, but it just looked wrong whenever I did, so I'm glad I kept it as-is.

She's my favorite, too... She was my first inspiration, and even as I find other artists I deeply admire and find myself attracted to, she remains in a special place in my heart. And you should be - it's a dead ringer for a Kinuko Craft woman <3

My favourite is the Disney one... though compared to the others, the Disney style hair scares me because there's so much less of the details on it (which is of course what Disney does!). I have to say I don't know the DA artist, who is it?

I know! I kept wanting to add lines or something... but really, they're just... not there in the Disney style. Plus, it's almost as hard to find a properly curly-haired girl in the Disney pantheon as it is in Pokemon! Everyone has WAVY hair, but actual curls? No way.

The dA artist is `alohalilo , who did character designs for Lilo & Stitch and directed How to Train Your Dragon. He draws a TON of sexy cartoon girls, so I thought he'd be a perfect fit for Rian.

Fffuuu realistic looks SO GOOD. It makes me realise that with a few well placed shadows you manage to make things look very...solid. Does that make sense? I think that's why I like it so much, and she WOULD be perfect for Rian, too!

I really like how your shoujo one came out, too. Lady stop drawing the big shining eyes so well XD

HEHE, thank you!! Yeah, it's really just a matter of figuring out where the shading can go for maximum effect, and if you do that then you don't need to worry about shading EVERYTHING.

The big shiny eyes... man, I don't know how or why I'm able to do those so well. It's a little unnerving, to be honest!

LOL! Yeah, he's got a bit of a freaky style... it waffles between cute and a little alien-looking at times.

I think it's so cool how you can jump from style to style like this! (Great work! It's probably not easy.) I really love the way you draw in Chris Sander's style; you definitely know how to capture the line quality he so often has.

Thank you! It was actually surprisingly natural to switch from one to the next, I had almost no trouble. I really wasn't expecting that, I imagined it'd be much harder, like you said.

I'm really glad you think I got the good Chris Sanders lines in there, his linework is SO beautiful and I was really trying to include at least an element of that.
