Commission for ItsElliot on Tumblr, featuring their character, Elliot! The background was tricky for this one because I had never done an environment like this with digital marker shading aesthetics before, so I had to figure out a style that matched. It took a little while, but it came out well!

The lighting setting is absolutely lovely! Instead of it being theΒ typical [and sometimes generic]Β high noon bright sunlight, you creativelyΒ used a much more serene "near dusk" moment lighting scheme. Or maybe a time before a rain storm. Point is the atmosphere is a big part of the drawing.
This is something I certainly want to take note of for my own drawings: different times of day creates unique moods. Real sweet, dude.

I'll fully admit that I tend to be biased towards high noon bright sunlight myself at times. 
Different times to day and weather conditions should definitely be used though! It absolutely can make your art, and you art gallery, more interesting.
