I simply love the feeling I get from this! It's one of those beautiful moments and you captured the emotion wonderfully. You can tell what's going on but at the same time it's not vulgar or unnessacary in any way. Amazing; not to mention all of that detail! =]

SO MUCH PATIENCE INDEED! I could never accomplish something like this because I lack the needed patience.. haha. This is absolutely fabulous! So much detail.

Just out looking for examples of shunga and came across this. I love it. So tender and comfortable. I love the muted colors, the softness of your watercolor and graceful pooling of your lines.

I found this piece, which led me to look at the others in your series. This is absolutely beautiful and one of my favorites in the series. What touches me to the core is your red latern used in all of them. It has that very aesthetic Japanese touch to have a spot of red. our ink lines are beautiful, and I can't help but stare to take it all in. You must have had a lot of patience to do the series. I am inspired...... thank you!

i envy your patience! i'd die doing something as detailed and as perfect as this!
the flow of the kimono, the textures all around the piece and the tree in the background... everything is brilliant.

Your comment is so flattering. I was really inspired by the original concept by Utamaro, that this piece was just a pleasure to work on. It was one of the harder pieces to create in the series, but I think it was worth it.

THank you,

resonates with me, it's nice to see something as lively as this, which honours and celabrates marriage.

Wonderful. I love it. I love the coloring and the shot of red color. The flow of the material is amazing, and I like your patterns and how they work together. The use of space and balance is perfect --- well there is so much I like about this picture - you even used texture - beautiful! I know artists don't put thought into use of line, space, texture, balance, proportion, blah blah. It happens naturally, and I feel quite cheesy with all these adjectives, but I don't want to just say 'pretty,' because I like my comments to say more.
