I was going to read these and wait until October when they were colored to comment, but this page was just visually fantastic.

Sunny Town highly reminds me of Louran from Terranigma for the SNES. It looks like a peaceful town at first but then the facade fades away to reveal a decrepit place filled with zombies.

you know those trees that are touching the moon? those could be some awesome deark-red cloud mist like, to give that feeling of -you are traped here- or -big wall-

that is an idea. i will be experimenting with the colors when i began the finalization process. i had one idea where the bottom of the sky line is a faint red and move up to the night sky color seen in the series ( which is like a purple of some kind).
