Days off came rarely, and days off when the sun shone bright were even more uncommon. The sun beat down upon the small town with merciless resolve - the perfect day for a beach outing. Belinda rushed down the wooden stairs, a smile on her broad face. The thought of paper-work, spreadsheets, and contested payrolls melted from her mind like an ice-cream bar dropped upon the baking-hot asphalt. She dashed across the hot sand, eager to plunge straight into the icy, churning blue waters that spat foam noisily into the air. Her sprint turned into a fall however as something tripped her leg, sending the rabbit face-first into sand.

"Hey, rabbit! This is a carnivores-only beach, so get lost!" "Yeah, hop off, bunny! he he..." "HA! Like the carrot get-up! Real tasty!'

She stood up and dusted herself off. She stared at the varied carnivores with an incredulous gaze. Belinda rolled her eyes. "Yeah, uh-huh. How about, screw you?" she said sternly as she brushed by them, walking further down the beach to avoid the cretins. Her ears shot up as one of the ruffians grabbed a hold of her arm. Belinda's blue eyes met the slanted pupils of a large female monitor lizard.

"Hey, get off, you cree-mmph!!!"

The lizard's claws squeezed the rabbit's cheeks hard. "Woah, rude little veggie-eater. Comes on to our beach and mouths off to us? We gonna let this stand?"

Heck no!" the chorus of sharp-teethed animals jeered as they laughed and heckled the bunny.

"Guess what, bunny?" the lizard asked, pulling Belinda snout to snout with her. "You wanna stay on our beach? Fine - we needed a nice little servant anyways." The gang laughed as the rabbit gulped.

(Having far too much fun with Belinda, but she turned out to be the perfect character to break my little dry-spell. Time for her to get a nice break, however X D. I'll go pick on someone else for a spell.)
