Yes this is very impressive. The contrast is just awesome and the colours are perfect. Interesting how you make the dark shine. Do you remove the (china?) ink before it is totally dry, with a deep blue underlayer or is it some blue paint added afterwards? Something else?
The composition is very catchy because I think the observer is confused. We don't really know where to look at. There are these eyes watching us and even dark areas are actually not that dark. This is nicely confusing

This is a very unique style, and is a wonderfully intriguing image. The viewer feels like the soul of this person has been exposed, but at the same time, know that is is hidden. The viewer also comprehends that this image is looking at the viewer, rather than the the viewer looking at the image. That very fact makes the viewer both comfortable and strange at the same time.
This image is a real duality of art, just like the two-color scheme used. This is incredible what has been accomplished with just a few brush strokes of paint. Brava!
