A gun I designed for the (fictional) gun company Vil Arms, out of Russia(Founded in 2038).The Legion(TM) Modular Defence Weapon utilizes multiple caseless ammunition types, each of the same measurements. The ammo feeding mechanism is very similar to that used by the H&K g11 rifle([link] bottom image)
The main features of this gun are the multiple barrels(in several calibers) available for the weapon. Changing of a barrel requires no tools or other modifications to the weapon. Simply remove the barrel, remove the magazine and insert a new one of each. Be it 9mm, .50 cal, or .223 remington.
The pistol is completely ambidextrous.
This is a very simple image of the gun with a standard 20 round 9mm setup(blue outline) with the universal base(red outline).
The, mostly, balistic polymer construction of the "base" piece allows an almost infinite choice of available colors and designs.

So, with the same feed as a G11, it's like, a grandfather clock in a gun?
I like the idea of a pistol being completely modular, I'm not sure whether you talk about .50 BMG, .50 AE or .50 GI

Nice...Your design is smooth, simple, and effective. (especially the modular system)
The only problems I see are two minor ones; The G11's system, though workable, is not -necassary- here, and including it only unneccesarily complicates the internals. The other 'problem' is the size of the trigger gaurd. It looks nice, but I doubt that my own hand would not fit in there too confortably. that's not too important, and it's really just personal preference/opinion.

The rotating block was the easiest way I could think of to do it. If you have another suggestion
The trigger guard may be a little small, but the handle is a bit large.

lol, it has nothing to do with d20, other than the little bit of talk abotu d20 Modern, which is sort of a Cyberpunk game with Magic and fantasy elements... so Basically Shadowrun.

I'm not sure, a better version of whatever the G11 used, seeing as how it's about 30+ years in the future.
I plan on working up the other version(SMG, carbine, etc) sometime soon here.

Well, the G11 used chemcial propellants sealed into the bullet, which were ignited when the firing mechanism came into contact with the bullet's chemcial wading, on the base of the shell. You could use an electrochemical propellant, to fire the round. Same principle is used in d20 Future, with Charge Pistols, which turns them into solid plasma covered projectiles, but they surmised that electrochemical propellants in lower concentrations, could propel the rounds and not cover it, in plasma. nevertheless, it would have higher muzzle velocity, lower recoil, and little to no sound, which is a plus ^___^
as for the SMG/PDW and Carbine, I look forward to those as well

See now, d20 modern is a little too fantastical for me. I'm a Cyberpunk person. The whole plasma thing is too silly.

^__^ I don't see why people get the two mixed up! People say that The Matrix is postcyberpunk, but then again, one of the Mirrorshade Groups, the quintessential godfather of Cyberpunk, William Gibson, said that the Matrix is cyberpunk, and who are we to question the Godfather? Not I!

You got it right. both of you! ^___^ yeah, now I see where I made the mistake: He was referring to in the Matrix itself, and the whole system, is Cyberpunk. Outside, where everybody else is at, is Post Apocalyptic Noir! BTW, did you know they're looking to adapt The Sprawl Trilogy, Snow Crash and Schismatrix into movies?

Well, if he was talking about "The Matrix" as the system, and not the movie as a whole I'll agree with him.
I did, and if they do it well(i.s. NOT Johnny Mnemonic... piece of crap) it'll be good. But it needs to be dark and adult and violent. Which I think is likely seeing the trend in movies over that past few years; Sin City, Lucky Number Slevin, Children Of Man etc. I have hope.
