It's only in pencil today because I had no time to colour it.
Sorry Sakura fans but since Kishimoto now officially succeeded in completely ruining her character in the last few chapters, I just had to do a parody.
Since the death of Itachi (among with other great characters) this manga is just not the same anymore. ;____;

I agree completely. Kishimoto SUCKS at his Sakura characterization. I mean, does he know ANYTHING about females AT ALL? Sure, Sakura might have felt a bit down about Sasuke messing things up and perhaps being unable to return to Konoha, but then acting like that around Naruto? Yeesh.

You were talking about Sakura? Where? What you wrote was "Asians". Last time I checked, the Naruto universe was a whole other world entirely, and not something that exists on Earth. In the Naruto universe, they don't have concepts like "Asian", "European" and the likes. They just go by Land of Fire, Land of Stone and so on. That it happens to be in Japanese (original language) is simply because the manga artist is Japanese. It's like saying that the Forgotten Realms universe is filled with English people because the rulebooks and the fiction there is written in English. If you meant Sakura, write Sakura.
And yes, I do think that Kishimoto's characterization of Sakura sucks. He makes her stronger and then puts her on hold, not bothering to develop her anymore so she ends up the "weak link" in the group. Again. Then he has her acting completely OOC (=Out Of Character), underestimating Naruto (when she had finally ended up acknowledging him and should know better) and tries a really low-level trick to kill Sasuke. Sakura is much smarter than that, and the fact that Kishimoto doesn't even bother to acknowledge this makes him (in my eyes) a poor storyteller when it comes to Sakura.
As for what "a lot of people" would do, I couldn't care less. It doesn't make the characterization true just because "a lot of people" do it. I've seen fanfictions and doujinshi that have presented Sakura the same way as Kishimoto did, and I lost all interest in them.

I believe I understand your concepts and concerns for replying.
I wasn't actually focusing on Sakura, and rather on Kishimoto. I was referring to Kishimoto's characterization of Sakura. Kishimoto being Asian and that you disagree with his perspective of Sakura (which I respect that you do [me too]) that Asians can be a bit excited and come up with some unreasonable/extraordinary stuff.
I understand that in the Naruto world, they use those terms, for in that world, such things do not exist.
And, due to your detailed description and reasoning, I realize much more than I had before, both about Sakura and the Naruto world. I thank you for that.
I apologize for making things unclear or misleading, such as mentioning anonymous individuals as to what the majority would think.

No worries! I was a bit harsh with my words, and for that I apologise. Nice to know we understand each other now. I'm sorry, and yes, Kishimoto no doubt has issues too... such as thinking that female characters are there for show only, lol!
As for Asians in general, I wouldn't know. They're just like Europeans, or Americans, or Africans etc. Some people have issues with these things, and others don't. This isn't in any way determined by ethnicity or nationality, but has everything to do with the person in question. Thank you for clarifying, and for being patient and graceful about my silly behaviour. xD
It's a shame that few people can get Sakura right, as a character, Kishimoto included. It seems like he's trying to push her in the direction of a romance with Naruto, but that still seems far too unlikely of a match to me. They're too different, and Sakura always seems to want to change Naruto into her image of the perfect man rather than accept him the way he is. As such, they're excellent friends with their banter and Sakura's general violent behaviour, but hardly romance material.
I'm also sorry for lecturing you on things you already know. I didn't mean to sound patronising or arrogant (which I probably did), and I take full responsibility for my actions. And don't worry about grammatical or vocabulary mistakes, English is my second language too. ^^

The manga started a downward spiral at the Genin Exams... I kept reading through them for the characters (Yay Neji, Gaara and Shikamaru!) and then stopped just before Sasuke left. Been thinking about picking it up again, if only to see the ending when it finally comes.
But if Naruto ends up with Saukra after all this trouble with Sasuke I will be soooo mad...

You know when I heard about chapter 470 I started disliking Sakura. It's just that I can't understand that Sakura confesses her feelings to Naruto, eventhough she knows that Hinata loves him and even almost died protecting him. Furthermore she was really lying to him and to herself and this was just weak.

It doesnβt really matter, as we are talking about a fictional character, but I'm willing to bet you disliked her before the situation occurred. Naruto does not belong to Hinata. Just because she tried to selflessly tried to save him does not mean he is now her property. Naruto belongs to Naruto. No one else.
