Description
Inspired by the pool of the Forest Spirit from Princess Mononoke. Looks almost nothing like it, though.
I might stick a character in there, or I might not.

I think the rocks need some cleaner cut shading. Rocks tend to have jagged edges/points. The texture you used for this peice is very nice, and gives life to everything. The reflection in the water is really nice, though the sudden change from greenery to water looks a little aqward. Perhaps if you added in faint white lines from ripples along the edge of the water. Other than those small things this looks fantastic. Very well done =]

Gorgeous! Everything is beautiful and beautifully done. I do have a suggestion about the tree on the right, the one at the base of the cliff. The ground there is supposed to be steeply sloped and right up against the cliff, right? Well, it just seems that the tree is placed too horizontally for that ground, like it should bend forward away from the cliff...I don't have a reference, it just looks odd to me, but I could be wrong. if I'm wrong, then just ignore me. XD

i really love the water, that's usually so hard to do lmao. OMG and is that a little den/hole behind that tree? that's awesome, good detail. i love your use of greens.
i'd say, more depth and detail to the rocks. maybe start the bg you're doing with a color scheme so its easily to determine what time of day it is and maybe use yellows/oranges/reds to bring out the green. maybe some stronger highlights like light from the sun coming through the canopy.
