you have no idea how happy this made me. Like seriously, my trees used to suck but now they look awesome! This is such a good tutorial and it's so simple to follow, not uber complicated like all the other ones I looked at before it :/

Just a quick question: whenever I use my smudge too and creates this darker colour smudge where I first put my brush down. Is there any way to stop that?

Check your smudge tool mode to make sure it isn't set to "Darken", it should be on "Normal". That's the only thing I can think of that describes your problem. Hope this helps
