Fawkes the phoenix, reborn!
I wonder what he did after, well, once more becoming a wild phoenix? I'd like to think he found some place safe and secluded for a suitable home.
P.S. All those rocks took loads of work. *twitch*

I bet those rocks took ages XD Well worth it though! They look excellent and I LOVE how you drew Fawkes. I would like to see the lines in the rocks be bolder, right now they're softened by the over laying color. I just think you did such an excellent job there that you should emphasize them more

Thank you very much! I wish I knew how to make the lines bolder, you noticed this mistake well! They were added directly to the layer of background colours as I was afraid they'd be too squiggly and insecure (I don't have a digital pen and my hand is very unreliable for digital works)... So I unfortunately used only a slightly darker colour for them. Next time I ought to choose differently!

Wow I love the sandy colours and the background shading is also great, but what makes the picture even more awesome are the glowing details on the phoenix. Great work

I picked blue for the glowy parts, like the blue bits you sometimes get in fires - and I wanted the phoenix to have peacock-like details.

I loved Fawkes! I was so sad that he died with Dumbledore. But this is amazing!
I really love the fire around the phoenix. It's really beautifully done and looks real. Plus it provides illumination around it so we can feel that he is being reborn. I also like how you've kept the surroundings relatively dark, so that it stands out better!
