I found inspiration for this picture in Red's song "Break Me Down". It fits Terra perfectly, with his struggle to reclaim himself from Lord Xenhort's corruption. A corruption that produces a false identity for him (Terranort) and, when his physical body is sacrificed, a Heartless (Ansem) and a Nobody (Xemnas). Aqua, his comrade, is ultimately unable to save him from the evil that engulfs him.

The picture took me 3 hours to ink and 4 days to colour.

Yes, very. I agree, Red's music is really similar to early Linkin Park. I can suggest "Breathe Into Me" and "Already Over". Along with "Break Me Down", those 3 are my favourite Red songs. You might also want to check out Skillet. They're not exactly "Linkin Park" but I like their music (Comatose, Rebirthing, Awake, Hero).

Your composition is really nice. I can see the transition from Terra to Ansem (forgive me if I make a n00b assumption; I haven't finished BBS yet), yet I still have to look closely to see some parts. It's almost like a stained glass piece; there are details everywhere that you'll miss if you don't look carefully.

Thank you, I really like the stained glass analogy. :] I tried to render the picture as detailed as possible to make it interesting. I'm not familiar with Kingdom Hearts outside of Birth By Sleep so I consulted Wikipedia a lot regarding Terra's transformations.

Nope! XD I've never really played Birth By Sleep either. Just 5 minutes of Aqua's 1st boss battle. My friend owns the games, I do not. My PS3 isn't backwards compatible and I don't have a PSP or DS.

Haha, my friend's shown me the more major BBS cutscenes. I've come to love the game based on what I've seen. I know the main plot details, just not the little ones. XD I guess I've decieved you, haha.

At the end of Birth By Sleep his body is stolen by Xenhort, the main evil guy. Aqua saves him from falling into the realm of darkness, at the cost of her own freedom, and he looses his memory. A part of Terra lingers on inside his abandonned armour. The rest of the original Terra's memories/ thoughts are progressively lost as Xenhort (in Terra's body) creates other versions of himself (the Nobody Xemnas and the Heartless Ansem). I'm not sure what will become of Terra in KH3, but I think Square Enix will give him a good ending and he'll be saved.

The game is surprisingly heavy in its emotional content. It was just so sad to see Terra fall in the end and Aqua loose him (and Ven). :[

I actually hope that Aqua saves her comrades, rather than Sora. Sora saving them has no emotional content for me since he never had a big role in Birth By Sleep so I find it more appropriate if the BBS characters resolve their own issues. XD That said, Sora can help out more indirectly.
