Description
This was announced while I was in Seattle for the Emerald City Comicon last Friday - it's the cover of Avenging Spider-Man #9 featuring Spidey and the new Captain Marvel.This is the Work in Progress Colors as these were extremely last second - on the whole it works fine but it's a lot of refining.
Oh yeah, I'm drawing the interiors of this 2 parter as well as the covers, written by Kelly Sue DeConnick.
The book ships in July 2012.
Colored in Photoshop CS3 over original lineart penciled by me and inked by Rachel Dodson.

I think it's a pity that Marvel never make the two of then a couple (even in a "What if..." story). It would be an interesting plot... or funny, at last.

I've always like Ms Marvel, but with the name-change, when someone asks which Captain Marvel I like I'll have to say "both!" and they'll have to distinguish between Batson and Danvers.

This is the best representation of the new CM that I've seen yet! The other promo art and interior pages I've seen look terrible. Her awful short haircut even looks good. Can't wait!
