Description kitbash for my comic book.

this is a 1:35 scale plastic model using parts from Tamiya, Revell, and Trumpeter models. it depicts a vehicle from my fictional comic storyverse.

...

"The K45-A3 is the Republic's heavy tank destroyer, designed to annihilate Imperial forces at ranges exceeding all but the most powerful of Imperial armaments. Mounting a super-velocity 120mm gun mated to a massive autoloader mechanism, it can expend all three rounds from its ready-magazine in under six seconds. Combined with a heavily armored binocular gun sight, the K45 fires its rounds at 5,500 FPS, at an accurate range of up to three miles.

Its driver-controlled defensive 8mm machinegun is almost an afterthought by comparison.

Utilizing a unique crew control mechanism, the tank is operated entirely from within the hull, leaving the turret to be occupied by the gun, autoloader, and small crew ingress/egress tunnel. Even the driver sits well behind the front of the tank, protected by layers of heavy armor.

The K45's resilience is legendary, rivaling that of the Imperial IL29 - typical Imperial tactical calculations for destroying a K45 result in 12 medium tanks to one K45 - a number that has often been woefully insufficient."

indeed. that wasn't what I had specifically in mind at the time but it was that general shape that I was looking for.

Only other things I think I can point out is a Panzer Cupola and the gun I think might be off an Object of some sorts.

Very nice work, 3 miles seems a bit short range for a gun of this size. if i'm not mistaken the challenger tank has gotten a kill at over 2 miles and it's an MBT. The Panzerhaubitze 2000 has a range of around 45km and it appears smaller than this one. The cannon also looks a bit more than 120mm but it's hard to tell without a size reference.

again, very nice work, love the details.

the pzh2000 gets 45 km because it's firing on a parabolic arc. it's an arty gun.

and thanks

Wow, A mix of a Panzerhaubitze 2000 and a Churchill. I hope the canon is not to heavy for the tank.

DeadDogpod In reply to Tetchist [2012-04-24 09:11:49 +0000 UTC]

I know it's a artillery. What tank it is i don't know, maybe it comes from around the 1980-2000. So what is it?

I knew it was the churchill because i have a tanya model on my desk, plus i love the idea of it, failing to take back france, then being thrown away to fight in africa. Where it was use as Artillery on the sandy hills which no other tank at the time could. then being tramformed into a engineering tank with a ton of good stuff added to it.
PS: the churchill crocodile is total badass.

it is indeed artillery; PzH 2000 to be precise.

the Churchill is a pretty rad vehicle; it combined very well in the kitbash with the PzH, somehow, despite being separated by like, what, 50 years?

yer, I think around that time. I will have to look up the PzH 2000. WAIT! I'll do it now :3

Do you think you'll ever paint this or any of your other models that you built for your comic? I'd love to see them painted.

I would like to; it's just a matter of finding the time. I'm always busy with one thing or another

for now you can see them in 'finished' form inside some of the illustrations I've put up.
