Lol are these even done by the same artist? xD The rules state that the old needs to be on the right and the new on the left, but I hope judges understand that because of the format, I needed to change it from top to bottom
The anatomy on the new one still needs a lot of work, but it's a huge improvement from the old one. There's more dynamic poses and bolder colours. I used to be afraid of different poses because I thought I couldn't do them well - not only that - I should NEED to do them. This stubbornness limited me greatly. Even on the first piece I barely wanted critique! Now I know without it I'd still be the same place a year later that I was before.

I honestly prefer the older set. Not uniformly, but...
Definitely improved: Chibi Moon, Saturn. I notice that they're the ones with the most zoom-out between versions, incidentally.
Definitely less appealing: Mars, Pluto. The newer coloring tends to make the hair look too... busy? Mars particularly has almost a Byakuren Hijiri look going on. As for Pluto, the cooling of her skin tone and the purple lighting on her green hair make her look a bit sickly.
Special case: Mercury. The newer version is clearly trying to maximize cuteness, and it succeeds, but makes her look less like herself.

Sailor Moon: New - why? she seems mature in the Old; seems more like Queen Serenity than the carefree sailor moon
Sailor Mercury: Old - why? her hair is more consistent with the original mercury; the new one is just too round, rather than giving the feel of ami's hair
Sailor Mars: Old/New - why? i like the Old because it shows mars as rei the person; i like the New because it shows mars as rei the mysterious, and love the fire btw
Sailor Jupiter: Old/New - why? frankly, other than the poses and colors, i saw no difference between the two (meaning both are great work lol)
Sailor Venus: Old/New - similar to sailor moon, venus seems more mature in the Old version,, which is good cuz she is the leader and was rather mature in the manga; whereas the New version shows the carefree and lovable side of minako
Sailor Chibi Moon: New - why? she seems more like the 9-year-old she should be
Sailor Neptune: New - why? she seems fit; in the old her hair seems more like "ice" rather than the ocean
Sailor Uranus: New - why? dynamic poses!!! yes! uranus!! other than that, haruka in the Old looks old(er than pluto *shudder*)
Sailor Pluto: New - why? no offense, but... pluto in the Old seems a bit a BIT A BIT chubby
Sailor Saturn: New - why? shows her as the mysterious senshi... and frankly, the Old saturn doesnt really look as saturn... moreso someone in a costume of her :3

Amazing improvement. I love your new style, especially the shiny-ness and you've improved in making them look really alive and gave them more depth, I think the word is (sorry, not really an artist, lol). My favourite are Neptune, Mars and Venus - very pretty ^^

There is a huge difference, but I love both! They look older on the top and like little girls on the bottom. I think I like them looking older, more curvy like women should be ... but I LOVE the poses you put them in on the bottom version! They express and show more personality there. You have improved greatly in the department of expression of the character. Keep it up!
