You just copy the shine layer ; go to the bottom one and use the "blur" brush x3

Sorry for the late reply. I use Photoshop CS3 now. I believe at that time, I was using CS2. I think they're up to CS5 or something silly. I just don't bother updating anymore.

pretty nice one I love the gauss effect and how smooth it turned out but you cant really get good depth effect like that any ideas on how to get bit more depth to it? (sorry if I didnt make any sense)

Ummm... well maybe try playing with more of a contrast in colors or add in more detail. Are you looking for more of a realism look to an eye?

Hey Tetiel!
Firstly I'd just love to say that I absolutely LOVE your work and this tutorial! ^_^ I think you're really good at what you do
Anyway, over that past 2 months I've started drawing anime and one thing I'm finding quite difficult is 3/4 view heads. I have a tutorial on that so I know that if I practise I'll get better but I'm really stuck on that 3/4 eye. I have no idea how to do it!
So...if it's not too hard, do you think you could make a tutorial on how you do the lineart for your eyes, like the eyes in this one? Thank you SO much!

i love this eye tutorial XD makes your pictures really "pop" But i was just wondering what colors i would use for pink colored eyes? XD The spectrum part of your tutorial is confusing >__<

Tetiel In reply to Teaeria [2010-09-05 19:35:08 +0000 UTC]
Hmmm... I can't open photoshop at this moment so it's hard for me to reply to this accurately, but I would start off with a lighter pink, move to a darker pink, and finish with a more purple. Maybe put yellows as highlights?

I really hope you won't mind me adapting to your style... Though, I'm not as good as you.
Anyways, I'm a GIMP user and a mouse user so the fancy stuff really does take a lot of practice but I'm getting the hang of it! I'm also practicing on lots of chibi linearts. XDDD -coughs- So, I want to thank you for creating this beautiful eyes tutorial and being my inspiration to improve in my coloring~

Thank you so much for the tutorial! It really helped me when I colored [link] ! Please view it if you have the time.
Hopefully, I'll be able to draw and color more, cuz this one was my first ever Photoshop-colored drawing!
