sum1 aske me 2 do a tutorial on how I do eyes on GIMP. here u go. i hope u like it and that its not confusung or too bad. XDD leave feedback if possible...the lineart is from here:: [link]
YOU MUST HAVE SOME KNOWLEGE OF HOW TO USE THE GIMP IN ORDER TO FULLY UNDERSTAND. I HIGHLY RECCOMMEND THAT YOU SHOULD ALSO KNOW YOUR WAY AROUND WITH LAYERS.

urrrr... well heres a hint. since you have gimp, then watch photoshop speedpaints and try to compare the tools used there to the ones we have. thats what i always do

-memory you have
-how often you use ur comp [and how long, dont use it for long periods at a time]
-how much memory you have
-if its a graphic computer
... i.. cant exactly come up with more reasons... *sweatdrop*

oh~ lol okay. on a seperate layer, above all the other layers you createdd for the eyes, set it for addition [i just learned this recently] and then add shines to the spots you want. it can be either white, or a very, very bright color [based off the eye in the beginning] if you still dont understand, let me know and i'll try again, or yu can ask for the vid i made on coloring eyes
