Back Story:

Eve's story begins before the universe was anything remotely close to being what it is now.  Before time was even thought of.  Where or how she came to be remains a complete mystery to her.  When she first gained consciousness, she found herself all alone in an entire universe that was without form and completely devoid of life.  To her, her powers were a simple fact of existence, and she found herself truly without limits.  Spending most of her time testing herself, learning about the universe.  Travelling from its epicenter all the way to the end of all matter.  There was no time as it is thought of now.  It all happened in seconds.  It happened over trillions of years.  Her brain and physiology was not designed to be limited by time.  Though it was time itself that caused her to feel alone.  She started to notice the universe expanding.  Events occurred and things changed.  Stars exploded.  Chunks of rock started to gather together in space and revolve.  The universe was progressing and yet she existed as she once did.  She found one planet that had newly formed and cooled.  Her curiosity led her to travel to a newly formed planet.  The hard surface was uneven yet completely devoid of life.  Liquid oceans clung loosely to the surface of the world.  No longer did she simply exist as part of the universe, she now had a place to be.  A place to stay.  A place that was utterly and completely alone.

She sat on the rough surface on the edge of the highest point of land that gave her a view of the nearby ocean.  An unmeasured amount of time passed as she watched the light of the nearby binary star system rise and then fall over the ocean before her.  There was beauty in what she saw.  Each time, without fail, she noticed something different.  Even though the light rose and then set precisely the same way and time, each one was unique.  Each time it was a different experience.  She flew down to the shore and hovered over the water at the shore line and stared at her own reflection.  Seeing her reflection excited her momentarily but then she realized that it was still the same as being alone.  It looked like her, but it was not unique.  She floated down and sat on the softer ground beneath her feet.  She laid down on her side and closed her eyes, listening only to the sounds of the waves crashing in the distance and the feint popping sounds of ground cracking and cooling echoing throughout the entire world.  And for the first time since she first opened her eyes, she fell asleep.  She dreamed of all the uniqueness of the suns sets.  As she slept, her body levitated off the ground and energy shot forth in every direction, penetrating the entire primordial world.  She then woke to find dozens if not hundreds of beings all standing around her.  Each one were as varied as the sunsets she had watched.  All like her, but different.  Some were female and others male.  All with varying body styles and colorings, as well as each with their own, yet unique set of powers.  For the first time, Eve was not alone and she had a reason to speak.  She unknowingly reached out with her mind first and telepathically spoke to all of those around her.  Most answered verbally, but a few responded telepathically in kind.  It was then Eve noticed as she looked around and saw each different face, heard each different voice that she noticed even the world around all of them had been transformed from a barren primordial world, but had been transformed by her power into a garden world for her and her people to live on.  She no longer was a wandering piece of the universe.  She had a home.  She belonged.

For eons, Eve led her people into an ageless era of immortal society.  While they did learn and practice the arts of romance, sex and eventual heartbreak along with all the other emotional avenues of life, the Eternals never once killed each other.  There were never any real disputes among them.  Even when there were minor conflicts, they eventually moved on as they found no reason to hold grudges when you all exist together for eternity.  Their birthrates didn't begin right away.  Once they had established a functioning society in a set of core homeworlds, Eve led the Eternals into a seemingly never ending golden age.  A handful of Eternals would set out and terraform, colonize and erect massive cities on worlds in matters of days.  Time, distance and low birthrates however began to lead to division among the Eternals.  Eve decided that what would be best for her people would be to merge back together in one society on a world they could craft together and live out their lives in harmony as one people united forever.  Many Eternals argued, the foremost being Eve's most beloved Aphrodite that then the universe would be empty yet again.  Heeding their wisdom, Eve bestowed upon her people the only gift she had kept for herself upon their creation.  The knowledge and ability to create new life.

This gift however was much more limited than her own powers.  She helped the inventors and technopaths knowledge on how to create the spark of life with their technologies when terraforming worlds.  One last pilgrimage would occur before the Eternals would reunite as one people.  Eve instructed all of her people to go out amongst the stars, create worlds and seed them with life of their design, to create races of beings that would one day hopefully find their creators and then Eternals and all their children could exist as one.  To the furthest reaches the Eternals went.  Some in pairs, others in groups and even some alone, choosing to create species by themselves.  Eve kept her closest and most beloved with her as she wanted to personally make species that would have her own touch on the galaxy.  In hopes that one day their genetic calling would lead them and in hopes many others to her and the Eternals.  As most Eternals were kind and benevolent, they shared down genetic markings and traits of themselves, encoding in the genetic makeup of these new mortal races the keys to one day having access to the powers and abilities as they had.  During the seeding of the universe, Eve's attention was clouded and the most destructive and devious events began to unfold.

Never before had the Eternals been so spread thin.  The largest gathering of them was with Eve in numbers no greater than twenty.  It was then that the Eternal Althalon made his move that he had planned for more millennia than he cared to count.  Unlike his brothers and sisters, he allowed himself to feel jealousy and a tainted form of desire for Eve and for power.  Ever since Eve first created all her people, she noticed even then that he was set apart somehow.  There was something about him that felt...wrong.  It was this enigma that made her withdraw from him, unknowingly planting the seed that would one day bring about the ruination of her people and possibly the entire realm of existence.  Eve spent hundreds of years with each of her lovers one by one establishing races of beings after her own design.  Once time had passed and the universe had been set in motion for the time of mortals, the Eternals came back together as one on a massive constructed world for them to all live on.  However it soon became apparent that not all had returned.  Almost every single Eternal that had left to seed planets on their own had vanished.  Eve led a group of one hundred Eternals to the closest world.  It was there that they found the first of thousands of dead Eternals.  Every world that had been seeded by single Eternal now had a corpse strewn on its surface.  All the Eternals back at the homeworld shared in the pain and suffering of this massive loss.  As one people they experienced the pain of the loss of their brothers and sisters.  Until one day the only missing Eternal that had gone out on his own returned - Althalon.  However this time he looked and seemed different.  To most, this was ignored as they were rejoicing at his return.  Not all their brethren were lost, or so they believed.  Althalon led his hero's welcome all the way to the Eve's throne.  In a massive circular domed room, nearly all of the living Eternals packed in to witness Eve welcome back their returning brother.  However the moment Eve set eyes on him, the hairs on the back of her neck stood stiff.  The enigma that eluded her for so long was now overwhelmingly apparent.  She stood tall and stoic.  Her face was filled with a quiet anger that only those closest to her could see right away.  Althalon stood before her like an arrogant lord, just waiting for her to speak.  "What have you done, Althalon?   What have you done?"  Her voice cracked with anger as tears filled her eyes and rolled down her cheeks.  The design of the room allowed all inside to easily hear what was being said at the throne.

"You finally see me now, don't you?"  He said almost as if he was the victim.

"What.  Have.  You.  Done?"  Each word cut Eve to the deepest part of her soul as she asked although she knew the answer.  She could see the stains on him in a way no other could.  When she saw any of her fellow Eternals, she saw not just their outward shell, but their souls as well.  And when she looked upon Althalon right now, the sight sickened her, horrified her and angered her in a way she never thought possible.

She saw them all.  All the missing souls.  Inside Althalon.

"I found truth."  Althalon turned his back to Eve as he smirked.  Addressing the rest of his people he spoke again. "Truth my brothers and sisters!  The truth of everything!"  He pointed back towards Eve "She has LIED to US!  We all worship her, and love her...none more than me!"  Eve grabbed his shoulder and turned him around.  Before she could speak he continued, "All I ever wanted was your love.  For you to SEE ME!  Well, Eve???  CAN YOU SEE ME NOW?!?"  He motioned over towards Aphrodite and Eve's daughter Genesis.  "That's all I ever wanted.  Was your love...to be SEEN!  To be considered an EQUAL!"

Eve's eyes narrowed to a tight squint.  "We all, have always been equals!  I've never..."

Althalon cut her off and pushed past her and sat in the singular shining throne behind her.  Over half the crowd gasped as he dared to sit in a chair for Eve.  "You've never what?  No, no, no...You've NEVER been BETTER than us??  NEVER told us all what to do...what to say...how to THINK??"

Eve took one step closer to Althalon, a raw untamed energy started to seep out of the corners of her eyes, giving them a soft glow as her fists clenched.  He sprang out of the chair as many others nearby stepped forward in support of Eve.  Eve stretched out her hand and pointed to Althalon.  "I have NEVER asked for this treatment!  I have LOVED EACH OF YOU...ALWAYS!"  A majority of the Eternals gathered muttered amongst themselves in agreement.  How they knew she loved them, how they loved her, how they were thankful to and for her.  "And I have NEVER...EVER LIED to you or ANY of you!"

Althalon retorted “Lie...withhold the full truth...what's the difference??"  He faced her but spoke to his people.  "She has hidden from you the fact that there is POWER...REAL POWER out there.  Stronger than me...stronger than you...” a sly smirk spread across his face as he pointed at Eve "...stronger than HER!"  A very noticeable and obvious gasp came about the people in the room.  Eve opened her mouth to respond but was cut off again.  "She asks me what have I done?  I have accepted this power...and have finally accepted my gift.  My abilities, dear MOTHER!"  He used the term as an insult over an endearment.  He hovered high above the throne.  A surprise to many as Althalon was not blessed with the gift of flight.  Eve rose to meet his gaze in the air near the apex of the dome.  "I've taken them all.  I've been shown the truth of us, Eve.  You took a portion of yourself...you gave up half of yourself to create us all..."  His grin turned sour.  "Our abilities aren't gifts.  They are LIMITS!  Too keep us in line!  To keep any of us from challenging you!"  Althalon's body started to emit a dark swirling energy and his voice grew louder and coarser.  Whatever "truths" he found had not only turned his mind, but amplified his powers...including the ones he had stolen utilizing his gift of absorption.  While the Eternals started to feel afraid at what they saw and heard from Althalon, they started to feel more at ease as Eve's body started to emit a radiant golden glow.  Even her hair seemed to shimmer and began to float on its own away from her body.  "Until today!  The allies I have made have made me stronger!  Strong enough to challenge even you!"

It was then that Eve did something she had never done before.  Not since that beach when she felt so alone countless lifetimes ago.  Eve stopped holding back.  Letting go of her restraint her body began to glow brighter and brighter.  Beings below that could stare into stars without blinking, began to shun their eyes.  The amount of raw power emanating from her was more than any of them could handle.  Althalon grew scared.  He knew that she was already more powerful than even he believed and was prepared for.  Rather than attempting and failing, he lowered himself down to the ground and grabbed two Eternals by the throat and raised them up.  "I know what I need...the same as you!  I need THEM!"  Dark purple and black energy tendrils sprang forth from his forearms and lunged into both the Eternal's eyes and down their throats.  After just a fleeting short agonizing seconds, his body absorbed their powers.  Eve was horrified and feared for her people.  She took shots at Althalon before, but was blocked by the sheer mass of panicked Eternals.  After several tumultuous minutes, the room began to return to order.  Althalon had fled and there were so many more Eternals now dead on the floor.  The last golden age of the Eternals was now marred by death and destruction.  The events of that day led to more division amongst the Eternals.  Eve knew she could no longer lead her people, and for the most part stopped trying.  She had led so many of them to their deaths.  She had somehow managed to allow Althalon to become tainted by some force that could possibly rival her own.  Eve tried her best to encourage her people to stay together, but with all they had seen and heard they started to lose confidence in Eve.  Many argued that he would return just to slaughter more of them and grow stronger.  There was now three levels of powers in the universe.  Eve, Althalon and everyone else.  Groups of Eternals would band together against Eve's pleas not to and would hunt down Althalon thinking themselves strong enough, only to have all of them slaughtered, feeding Althalon's power.  Millennia passed and those Eternals not slaughtered by Althalon and absorbed into him, became more and more disillusioned.  Many left for other realms, declaring themselves neutral in this "war".  Other's still clung closer to Eve, to keep her safe both physically and emotionally.  The loss and devastation took heavy tolls.   Eventually all that remained in the mortal realm were Eternals numbering fewer than 100.  Gone and lost forever was their empire.  They were an extinct race.  Several of them learned to hide themselves amongst the mortal races that had now began to develop.  Finding some type of existence where they could still do some good, setting themselves up as deities over the mortals, or as benevolent shepherds, trying to guide the lesser beings on a better path.

Although the loss of Eternals to Althalon had slowed to a drip, as they were now too few to hunt and stayed together more than anything, this too failed as Althalon had learned to track down Eve's own energy.  Anywhere she went and took those that she loved the most with her, she took them towards danger.  One last time she led her people to the now decaying and rotting world they had built so long ago.  The horrors of that day so long ago still fresh in each of their minds and hearts.  Eve had her very small number of Eternals with her and she told them that she had to die in order for them to be safe.  He had grown so intent on challenging her and that she couldn't hide all of them from him.  They had to all disappear like their brothers and sisters had done.  She urged them to go to the other realms to be safe with their remaining brethren.  Or if not, to find some place to hide.  As Althalon had shown nearly no interest in the mortals at this point, if they were few in number and hid the full extent of their powers, then they should be safe.  One by one each of the remaining most loyal and most loved departed from Eve.  She spent time with each of them one last time in ways that she knew connected with her the best.  With some they would sit for days together just talking or staring at the stars as they floated in space.  Only a few of the remaining were ever intimate with Eve.  Many of them had no interest in her that way, they loved her beyond anything physical.  Those whom she had enjoyed a more physical and emotional relationship with, she spent time with in the end.  Those were even harder goodbyes.  Until all that remained on the entire planet was Eve, Aphrodite and their daughter Genesis.

Out of an entire species of people, these were the two that admittedly did mean the most to Eve.  Eve's bottom lip shook softly as she let herself admit that Althalon had been right about that.  She did favor some over the rest.  And she felt burdened by the thought that perhaps it was because of this that now her people were dead.  This was the hardest goodbye of them all, and deep down, Eve wasn’t sure if she was strong enough to do it.  They spent time together the three of them just taking in all they had seen and done.  Genesis even more than Aphrodite pleaded for Eve to change her mind and not do this.  She would caresses her daughter's face and hold her tight, trying to not let her see or know that even Eve had her doubts.  "I have to try honey.  I have to keep you, your mother, everyone that is left safe."  She started to cry as did Aphrodite and Genesis.  "If anything happened to either of you...I couldn't bear it."  Both Eve and Aphrodite knew there was no way they could get Genesis to leave peacefully and they had decided that they wanted their last moment together to be a good one.  Not one of tears and screams and pleadings.  As they hugged, Eve kissed Genesis on the forehead and looked into Aphrodite's eyes and gave a knowing blink.  Aphrodite blinked in understanding and pressed the small teleport device on her wrist transporting her and Genesis off the planet into a ship parked in orbit.  Aphrodite grabbed the controls and started immediately to turn the dead ship on.  Genesis quickly realized what was going on and started yelling for her mom to stop.  But Aphrodite wouldn't even look at her.  She knew if she broke focus she and Genesis would both be back on that planet.  Back on the surface, Eve looked up through the glass dome and saw a small blinking flash in the sky above.  "Be safe.  Live well.  And love again."  Eve allowed herself to break down and sob for a while at first for the loss of her closest loves, then for her people, for all the senseless slaughter, and finally she allowed herself to cry for her own self - for everything she had done wrong, everything that led to this moment.

Composing herself, Eve stood tall and let the full limits of her power course through her body.  She had allowed herself to feel this omnipotence too many times lately in battles with Althalon and in saving her people.  All she could do now was pray that this last act would at last give what was left of the Eternals some peace.  She floated to the top of the dome, pressing her back against the dome and fired with everything she had, draining herself as she did so into the ground, the energy blast punctured through the ground, every layer of crust until it reached the planet's core.  Yelling in pain, both physical and emotional, Eve fired harder, unleashing another torrent of her power which broke through the core and split the massive planetoid in two causing an explosion on a scale near a supernova.  Eve's final thought before the massive explosion was the faces of each of those she had just said goodbye to and that she hoped this sacrifice was enough to hide them from harm.  Althalon arrived just in time to see the planet explode.  He felt Eve's energy stronger than he ever had before and then it was gone at the exact moment the planet was destroyed.  He screamed out in anger as he felt his prize had been stolen from him.  He took as long as it required to personally examine every piece of debris from the lifeless rocks.  Ensuring that her body was there.  Perhaps there was a glimmer of power left in her he could absorb.  Without her, his quest for omnipotence and the conquest of all the realms in the name of his allies would never happen.  He finally found a strand of her hair floating in space and it was glowing with the same radiance he had seen before in battle with her.  He tried to absorb what little power still coursed through it, but it was too finite for him to be able to draw from.  His entire crusade to omnipotence had come to a crashing defeat with Eve's sacrifice.  His anger fueled him into a blinding rage and he went on a tear, destroying several solar systems in a tantrum.  Finally his mind cleared some.  If he could not have Eve, then he would have what she loved the most.  He knew she would never sacrifice a single Eternal willingly and there was no sign of any other Eternal in the debris.  Now he would hunt down what was left of his brothers and sisters, and start taking a more creative approach to change the development of these mortal races.  Perhaps with their combined forces he could gain enough power to being his conquest again.

Nearly one thousand years later on a small moon, a being with four eyes and a tail spotted a curled up being under a tree.  It reached out with its extremely long arm and gently tapped the being, unsure if it was alive or dead.  After a couple more shoves, the being sat up.  The form of the being shared some similarities to the creature, but there were almost as many differences.  It looked more like one of the other beings that frequented the planet for trade.  As the unknown being stood, it's long flowing golden hair fell into place on its back.  Eyes opening softly, a soft female voice spoke as she started to see the being that had awoken her.  She spoke as her eyes focused.  "Anzhu?"  She said confused, thinking the being looked familiar.  The creature startled and ran away squealing, leaving the alien alone in the woods.  The female propped herself up with the assistance of the tree and looked around.  She saw more beings like the one that touched her walking nearby.  Then others that resembled her form.  And others still that had a variety of appearances.  Each one of them she felt like she knew.  But not personally.  Ever being she saw that was the same all had the same name in her mind.  Making her way to the nearby city, she found an information terminal and interacted with it, the more she learned the more her memories began to flood back.  She ran back out threw the city and looked up to the stars.  Eve stared into the abyss and yelled out in fear a long drawn out "NO!".  As the aliens started to stare at her they started to see her slightly different almost as if she looked familiar.  Eve then realized that these were all the decedents of so many races created by the Eternals.  She could feel the presence of each of their creators in them.  She looked down at her hands as she remembered destroying her homeworld, killing herself.  She even remembered the sensation of dying.  "How...how am I alive?"  Beings started drawing closer to her feeling some type of sense of connection and awe towards the mysterious woman.  Sensing the curiosity beginning to build in the mortals around her, she snagged a cloak off one man and covered her head with it, allowing it to cover her face and most of her upper body.  She then slowly and calmly worked her way into the crowd, dismissing any and all that would stop to talk to her.  She was hidden and should be dead.  If she allowed herself to be recognized, it could doom these poor people and draw Althalon's attention.

Eve had no idea how long she had been gone.  Why she was still alive or even if Althalon could sense her even now.  All she had was hope and limited time.  She made her way to the space docks and snuck on to a transport.  She didn't even care where she was heading.  She just knew she couldn't stay still.  Not until she knew Althalon couldn’t track her.  If dying couldn't end this Eternal War, then she would need a new plan.  Somehow she had to stop Althalon and his mysterious allies from his conquest.

Powers:

Omnipotence - Eve is the wellspring of life and all powers in the universe in the mortal realm.  While she has lessened her own power by creating the Eternals, and slightly more so by giving of herself in the creation of the races she was personally instrumental in creating, no being from the mortal realm is strong enough to kill her head to head.  Not even herself.

True Sight - Eve can see/sense the mark on every species that the Eternal(s) that created them left on them.

Concealment - Eve has mastered the ability over time to conceal herself, her power and her identity from being noticed by anyone.  She can move through crowds and while seen, the minds do not register her.  It takes most of her power to turn in on itself to conceal her, and any action outside of general movement will lift the concealment to varying degrees.

Weaknesses:

Compassion/Self-doubt/Love - Eve's emotions are and have always been the best way to get to hurt her.  Something Althalon learned far too quickly.  Eve has lost many encounters based on her unwillingness to sacrifice others or due to her lack of believe in herself to actually kill Althalon.

Art by the incredible

Okay everyone - here she is and here IT is.

As many of you know, I am attempting at creating not just original characters, but the entire universe that they live in.

Like how the big guys have their universes and origins/explanations for everything in it.  Just like when there are many people working on it and professionals that do this for a living make mistakes, I am absolutely certain I will make continuity errors and all that jazz, but I do hope I can make it interesting, unique and overall enjoyable to you.

MUCH of what is touched on here in this bio pertains to other character's origins and major events that I fully intend to flesh out down the road as they are revealed to the main characters through the stories.

I really hope you all enjoy and appreciate it all and that I can live up to this mighty high goal I have set for myself.

Sounds incredible.  Hate for my mind to go right to the peril possibilities but since she's kind of the "first heroine" it would be cool if, if she were weakened, all other heroines might feel their powers wain as well

And excellent work, as usual, by PG on this picture of Eve.
