So I hosted a mini-contest a while back and offered a little story as a reward to the winner. The original winner did not respond, so I gave the prize to runner-up InputYourNameHere. They told me about a character they created for a joke RP that fell through. Said joke character is “one with the Flex Seal”. Yes, that Flex Seal. From the commercials. What commercials? This is one (it’s for Flex Tape, but it’s the iconic one in my eyes)- www.youtube.com/watch?v=0xzN6F… .

Thus, this exists. It’s very different from what I normally write in terms of TF. No identity death here (at least for the main character), because I wanted to take the insane premise and go all-out with it. I felt like my usual, darker themes had no place in a story involving Flex Seal transformations. That, and rereading the exact terms of the request, it’s probably not what the requester would have wanted, anyway. Thus the nature of the ending.

I did say this would be Mega Short length, but this has a long story behind it, so I aimed for a 1500-2000 wordcount range. It’s not an actual Mega Short, so I can bend the rules a little. It went a little over 2000 words, but I don’t mind that much. This is why the TF itself is a little on the rushed side, but I found myself more fascinated with building up the “Flex Seal lore”, so to speak. I might have went overboard with the intended document name, though (it was gonna be "i sawed this boat in half", but the PDF conversion from my blank document was a bit wonky).

Also, I had to include the phrase “YEE DOGGY!” at some point. Had to. It was a thing that had to occur. I just made it better by having Goofy utter it.

Fun fact- I actually didn’t know Phil Swift was the guy who sold the Flex Seal products, and- since I’m uncomfortable writing RPF- I made him an unrelated dude with such an unhealthy obsession with Flex Seal that he stole the poor man’s name. I’m not sure if that’s exactly what the requester wanted, but I figure the mere premise is insane enough, so that’s not too out of the ordinary in context.

Yes, I have gone to Kingdom Hearts fan events in Disney. Yes, I’ve cosplayed as Sora. Also figured it would be fitting since KHIII is around the corner.

Contains rubber TF, Digimon (including cute Chibomon scene breaks) and memes. And of course, tons of Flex Seal.
