NOTES
The City of Simfur first appeared in the (TFTM07) Movie Prequel miniseries, as a nod to Simon Furman.
Sentinel Prime was added to the continuity by John Barber, in the DotM prequel miniseries Foundation . This miniseries also tied together the prequel comics to the previous movies.
The two personalities of Sentinel Prime are a nod to a classic Saint Seiya storyline (the Pope is replaced by Gemini Saga, who is cursed by a good and an evil personality).

Glad it makes sense as we liked the prequels by Barber and Mowry, but the movies didn't make lot of sense.

This is a really clever idea to explain how Sentinel suddenly turned traitor in TF3. I don't think he was really born evil, just that he became obsessed over restoring his homeworld
I like how your Sentinel is slightly different from the Earth Movie version, to show his Cybertronian form

The different look of Sentinel came from the "Foundation" miniseries by the awesome John Barber. Ww wanted to follow his lead... well, we tried
In our book, a Prime cannot be evil! Especially one that carries the name of the "Philosopher King" Sentinel of our own SoD comics (check him out here !)

I agree that the name "Prime" means you should not be evil. Unfortunately it is confusing in the Movie Universe because I think The Fallen was originally named Megatronus Prime

We just disliked the idea of a Prime being evil "just because": his actions never made sense in the whole story.
Megatron on Earth is a loser, the leader of a really wek group. Why help him again, sticking to a pointless plan, just because millions of years ago he had the upper hand in the war?

Did you read the official "Foundation" comic? There's a lot about the Sentinel/Optimus/Megatron story in that great miniseries
Our project will focus on the other story for G1 Optimus in the time to come (Wrath Of The Ages). ^^
