Description
SEEDS OF DECEPTION: SHORT STORIESTRANSMUTATED
Art and story by Lau
Script and lettering by Franco villa
SoD project by Peter Istyle
Edits by J.Z. Belexes
NOTES
In SoD continuity, Inertium is the fluid that composes most of Cybertron's liquid bodies (oceans, seas, rivers).
Like Finback, Splashdown and Waverider feature an aquatic alt mode.
For more racism toward Primitives, see Short Story: Secret Shame .
Mixmaster's interest in alchemy, just like his cackling habit, comes from his G1 Marvel Profile.
Bugly's holobook is a nod to "Turning The Tide", an unfinished SoD project created by Ibai Canales .
It is also a nod to another unfinished SoD saga, Fate Of The Tank Force by Christian Ludwig .
The concept of removing Primitive facets of a Transformer, is a direct nod to Beast Machines (Megatron and Savage Noble).
The "creature" body featured by Finback at the end of this Short Story is based on his G1 toy Pretender Shell.
Fistfight and Shockwave have been working on morphing protocols for some time. See also Short Stories Replacement , Survival Instinct and The Thief, Revealed.
Finback's tragicomic saga continues in Short Story: The Balance, Crack'd .
Page 3 dialogues were updated to better fit Finback's personal history.

Hi,
the link to my site doesn't work. There is a dot too much at the end.
Besides that it is another great tie-in that gives this saga even more depth (if this is possible ). I can't count all the connections between the single parts...

He is a "different mech"; no one shows any kind of real understanding or acceptance for what he is. They just tolerate him...and he turns to evil. It should be obvious that selfishness will cause this sort of events (of course, "evil" is not a solution, it just makes matters worse).
We should feel for him, but it seems that this kind of compassion doesn't belong to the current mentality any longer.
