It's a brand new day, and the two friends are still in eachother's bodies! What will happen now?
This one, I really dislike. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad. The plot thickens, and you'll see characters interacting more. There's just one thing that bugs me terribly, out of the whole ordeal: you see, some changes happened overnight. When I did these a while back, I decided to change their eye shapes in this part, as one of the changes that had happened overnight. And as far as Daria (in Ellie's body), those eyes give her much more maturity, and she even looks much more like who she really is, and I like it.
But when it comes to Ellie (in Daria's body), giving her Ellie's original eyes was a terrible decision. She looks god-awful with them. Especially in panels 6 and 7... (shudders). But I want to hear it from you. Do you think she looks good with them?
And don't get me started on the swimsuit! It's a shame Kisekae2 has no swimwear that looks like a really shorter version of another swimwear! I had to do much editing painstakingly, and still it's not obvious they're the same swimsuit but stretched out...
By the way, new character, yay! Right now she's not very important, and if you compare her model here with her new one you'll understand, but with time she'll develop further.
Here's the link to the program I used to make these pictures: pochi.x.fc2.com/k_kisekae2.htm…

"Ellie, over here!" screamed Kailyn, calling out to her friend.
"Hey, Kailyn, good day to you!" Daria walked towards the purple-haired girl, along with a friend. "Had you met my friend Daria here?"
Ellie took a step forward to meet her. "Hi! I'm E- Daria. Your name's Katelyn, right?"
"No, but it's pretty close to it" the girl joked. "It's Kailyn, and don't worry, most people get it wrong at first."
"Well," Ellie said, blushing slightly, "nice to meet you."
"Oh, the pleasure is all mine," Kailyn retorted, "Ellie's friends are my friends too."
Suddenly a voice was heard from the distance. It was a girl's voice, angry and impatient in tone, and it called out Daria's name. Coming from the same direction, a silhouette walking towards them gradually became the figure of a tall, athletic girl. Janice, as she was called, got next to the group looking right at Ellie.
"I think she wants to have a word with you", stated Daria.
"She does? Oh, oh right, she does." Ellie snapped back to reality. "If you'll excuse me for a second..."
She walked away from her friends to meet up with Janice. Ellie didn't like Janice, as she often mocked her about her height, or not being very attractive, among other reasons. This time however, she was sure she wasn't going to be mocked by her as she was clearly taking her for Daria.
"What do you want, Janice?"
"As you can see, I've just finished tanning and I don't want to spend the rest of the day on the beach with this bikini. What I want is to change into a swimsuit." Janice spoke, and one could sense the conceit and disrespect in her voice. "So, I was wondering if you could lend me one of your own? After all, we have the same bodybuild."
"Well, if you give me a moment I'll go to my room and bring you one of my own. Is that OK?" Ellie asked, increasingly more annoyed at the girl.
"That won't do. What I want..." Janice answered, grabbing a strap of Ellie's swimsuit with her fingers "...is THIS one."
"WHAT?!" Ellie covered herself in shock. "But I'm using it right now!"
"I know, but you can always wear my own. Also blue looks killer on me." Janice was determined in wearing that swimsuit. "Come on, aren't we friends, Daria?"
Ellie thought back to what Daria used to say about having been very close to Janice, before she started to be mean to everyone. At the moment, they didn't talk much to eachother, but usually Janice would ask Daria for favors, hardly ever paying back. Ellie wasn't sure what kind of relation Daria and Janice had now, but they certainly weren't "friends".
------
"What the hell?! What's the deal with this swimsuit??" Janice screamed, frantically trying to adjust the swimsuit to her own body. The two of them had headed to a beach bar, and inside the restroom, so they could change in privacy. They were now outside the restroom, adjusting some final touches.
"I don't know Janice," Ellie answered, "it's the same swimsuit I was wearing." Ellie had also changed, but luckily for her she had brought the bikini she had worn the previous day, to prevent situations like this one. Seeing Janice debating herself with something like a swimsuit was pure gold, and she was having way too much fun with it.
"I don't understand! The swimsuit fits you perfectly, but it's too small for me! I can't go out wearing this, it's too skimpy for me!"
Ellie decided to retort with a bold statement: "To be honest, Janice, nothing's ever too skimpy for you." She seldom, if ever, uttered anything like that, it wasn't in her nature to act like such a smart ass; but she was Daria now, she had to act more like her. And Daria was both direct and honest, especially to those she was mad at.
With that remark, Janice's face turned red in anger. "This isn't over, Daria. I'll make you eat those words!" She then ran off, covering her body in embarassment and taking both her bikini and Ellie's swimsuit with her.
Ellie was glad she didn't have to deal with Janice anymore, at least for now. That girl was a pest, fixed only in her vanity and disrespect towards everyone else.
But now that she though of it, why didn't the swimsuit fit Janice? I mean, both her and Daria were known to have almost identical bodies, and while it was fitting Ellie (in Daria's body), it was too small for Janice. It had something to do with the fact Daria's body had shrunk overnight, somehow.
Ellie thought again. She had been many times with Daria in the pool or the beach, and for many times Daria had worn that same blue swimsuit. Did it mean the swimsuit wouldn't fit her if she had kept Daria's size? Or wouldn't the swimsuit have gotten smaller if they hadn't changed in the first place?
All these thoughts were interrupted by a familiar, smoother voice. "Hey honey, you called?" Ralph had arrived to the bar.
"Yes I had. How are you?" Ellie was more than glad to see Ralph next to her. She got close to him and laid her head on his shoulder, almost purring like a cat. As much awkward as it felt to her, she had to do it to keep Ralph believing he was with Daria.
"I was having a prety lousy day, until I got here." He knew exactly how to leave a girl happy. "Come on, we're gonna be late. I've arranged a surprise for you in town. You coming?"
"Sure!" answered Ellie, excited at what the surprise might be. She gave her hand to Ralph, and they both walked out of the bar and towards the town.
------
"So Daria is gonna be busy with her boyfriend this afternoon. What do you want to do, girl?" Daria asked her new friend, back at the beach.
"Well, I've thought we'd go have some fun at the mall. We could shop, have lunch together... hey, we could even check out some boys. What do you think?" Kailyn proposed the offer to Daria.
"I- I'm not sure," Daria evasively answered, "I don't think I have any pretty clothes to go to the mall." The clothes weren't the problem. She didn't want to check boys out, because she felt it went against what she and Ralph had together.
"Come on, Ellie, it will be fun! I'll lend you some of my clothes. You'll look gorgeous on them!" Kailyn tried to motivate Daria.
Finally Daria gave in with a sigh. "Alright, it could be fun I guess. I mean, what could possibly happen?"

Yeah I shouldn't have changed their eye shape so early. Oh well.

What's done is done.
To be honest, I didn't even notice them after this one.
I focused on the dialogue rather than the images.

Yeah, it's important to understand what the images represent.
Right? Does that offend you? I looked at the images, I just
didn't notice the eyes.

Oh, not at all. It's just that I did the text as a supplement to the comic and not the other way around. But yeah, the way i made these things, it's best to read first and see the images later.

Ohhh! I've done it the opposite.
I looked at the image and then read the text.
But I could see what you mean.

Oh, I get it. I thought you had done otherwise
But yeah, that's the way they should be seen: first you see a few panels, then you read one or two paragraphs, then you scroll down... switching from text to image should be fluid, although it's not really easy to do so.

Yeah, I look at the images and then read all of the text.
I usually look back up at the images again to make sure I understand what's going on.
And I usually do.
So I'd say that's a job well done.
