Description
On a recent trip to southern Ontario, I had an hour-long stopover in downtown Toronto, so I decided to walk around and shoot a roll of black & white film. This is a shot of a stone angel on the front of Metropolitan United Church, located at the corner of Queen & Church St.The sky in the original shot was completely washed out, so I replaced it with the sky from another shot that I took last summer. I realize this should probably be in the Photomanipulation category, but I don't really care.
Photo details:
Camera: Nikon F50
Shutter Speed: Automatic
Aperture: Automatic
Film Speed: 400 ASA
Date Picture Taken: January 26, 2006
Scanned from 4x6" print, processed in Photoshop.

PS. In high school, I had to read "The Stone Angel" by Margaret Laurence. I hated that book.

Don't you just hate blown skies? Very good angle and composition.

Love the angle at which the picture was taken, love the colors, and I love big stone buildings too. *laughs*
And, yeah, props on the choice of B&W. A color of the same image would, or at least I'd think it would, just not convey the same 'massive' feel that I get from the B&W.

Doing this in B&W was perfect and the angle makes it more interesting.

Great looking up shot, shame about the wire/string protruding from the angle and above it..
