The death animation for Rayman features the characters turning into bubbles and popping. I knew from the beginning that I wanted to incorporate that into the sequence somehow. Perhaps not surprisingly, this was the easiest part to actually sketch out. Just a big, round shape with some bits sticking out of it. Though that hair did take quite a bit of time.
