So, Link is a total jackass. When Jinx caught him smashing her pots, looking to take her ruppees, she got really pissed and decided that he ought to have an outward appearance to match his behavior. So, a short time later, one very confused donkey was sold to the Lon Lon Ranch.

Oh, what about Hyrule, you ask? Who will save it now that the hero of time is not around to do the job? Well, don't worry too much. As soon as Ganon's plans for conquest start to bother Jinx too much, she'll deal with him, too.
