what if I told you, that the Gun in the Zero games here is not the Z buster.

The original megaman zero mistranslated the gun as the Z buster. The gun that zero uses here is actually called the buster shot. Zero was completely unarmed when he woke up. He grabbed Milan's gun to defend Ciel. When he regained the Z saber, he could load the saber into the buster shot to give it it's charge capability.
