I think your work is excellent! I didn't have time to go thru the rest of your gallery last night but it's on my list. I see no resin at all why you should or could not be a professional artist if that is your dream!! I'll be back for a second look, in the meantime I'd love to have your permission to feature your work in my NEXT epic journal.

Sure... you are welcome to feature anything. I like getting feedback, but I get relatively little. Some of the stuff in my deviantART gallery is pulled from my RateMyDrawings account where users are required to use the sites' limited web based drawing apps to post anything. It's hard to wring the same kind of quality out of those tools... at least for me, but for now it's helping to flesh out the gallery a little. Those are all basically just practice.
I'd like to get Photoshop and a few other things, but I barely convinced myself to get Painter 12 at more than half off as is. I like Gimp, but right now it's not supporting my graphics tablet. SumoPaint is good for a web app... the best in my opinion, but it's flash based and not entirely stable. Also doesn't support pressure sensitivity, not the new version anyhow.
I'd be happy as a clam doing commissions for portraits. I haven't managed to sell any art since I was in high school... lol. I can use pretty much all traditional media for both 2D and sculptural work, but it got to be too much with my limited space not to mention income. So, I eventually transitioned into digital. I can even sculpt 3D passably well with Sculptris though sculpting software has a ways to go before it's as intuitive as the real thing. Certainly easier to get perfectly symmetrical work though. An application called Zbrush looks to be capable of quite a bit more and it interests me because as I see it I could create new creatures in 3D and re-use them in different poses for fantasy or story like pieces. I create from scratch better in 3D than 2D for some reason. I need reference for 2D, and I'm thankful to those who provide Stock even if there are usually strings attached... allows me to build my portfolio.

No worries! You were not rambling, you were sharing. I have a very dear friend who works in 3D sculpture and animation. I'll send him over to have a look at your gallery! I have a stock account that I shut down, but will be re-opening in the next couple of days. Its and its free - no strings attached. Go ahead and fav it and then the imagaes will come flooding in as soon as I release them and a few new ones too! Feel free to work with them in whatever way you like.
