Calypso was born in Sweetmny, a medieval town in an isolated part of Sinnoh that was rife with myths and magic. Her parents had left as soon as she was old enough to look after herself, so she lived in the town tower, an old building in the middle of the village, which nobody dared enter. Calypso quickly grew a reputation in the village, the bairn would love nothing more than play a prank, get the people worried, but it was all in good nature. She'd creep up behind people and surprise them, or she'd move furniture in houses while their owners were away. Basically, she was a trickster. Nobody ever saw her, but everybody knew she lived in the town. And they loved her!

Then one day, this all changed.
As Calypso grew up, her powers seemed to grow stronger. One night, whilst she was out tricking a couple of late pedestrians, she accidently used a strange new move - Dark Void. They suddenly fell to the ground and were caught in nightmares, and the young darkrai had no idea what she had done, or how to undo it.
The people were diagnosed to be stuck in a state of eternal nightmare, so the village elders called on the legend known as cresselia.
Her name was Sunny, and she came to the village and quickly cured the cursed. The legendary was quiet and kind but it only took one look at Calypso for them to become mortal enemies. Sunny had had many previous encounters with darkrai and was sick of 'cleaning up after them', so she at once ignited a battle. Calypso, despite the type advantage was still much younger, was quickly defeated and she retreated to live in the tower, but that was not all for the cresellia.
She cursed Calypso to stay trapped in her tower (she didn't want to kill her for she didn't believe it was right). Things could step inside the tower, but as soon as the darkrai tried to step out it would hurt her and push her back in. Calypso still tried to escape, she wanted to see the village but couldn't, and she'd attempt to lure people in to find company, but after a few decades of trying Calypso gave up and finally decided she would be alone in the tower for the rest of her life - she boarded up the tower so nobody would try to get in.

Calypso spent the next few centuries reading in the big library, or making pots with the old clay or materials. But as the years rolled by, she was running out of things to do, she'd already read all her books at least a dozen times. She started making her own entertainment, by getting bits of old wood or stones and making them into dolls. It seemed she was starting to go crazy by loneliness.
Until suddenly, the tower started to crumble.
The walls fell, the floors collapsed, and a big yellow metal beast tore into the tower. Calypso escaped at once, not caring about all the people who could have seen her, and she looked for a place to hide. The small town of Sweetmny had turned into a great, booming city, and in her haste she ended up destroying countless buildings trying to get out the alien metal labyrinth. Finally, she found herself in the countryside, finally away from watching eyes.

She tried to return to her mischievousness ways, but it was no good. People didn't take it as a joke any more. If she moved furniture people would go crazy and claim there was a break in. If she snuck up on people in the dark, she's be chased away by police. No matter where she travelled, it was the same. Then she heard about the secret hideout, and it didn't take her long to decide to join!

Personality:

Playful, frisky and a bit of a pain. Calypso likes nothing better than to piss people off and doesn't care about dangers. She'd much rather make enemies than friends, and usually won't make any effort to get to know people. She can, at times, act a little snooty and demands things, but she won't get angry if she's denied. She doesn't have much of a temper, and takes anything that annoys her as a joke. If somebody is genuinely shouting at her, she will just laugh at them.
She doesn't like overly-friendly people, she will usually take advantage of them for the sake of amusement. She considers the more mature people a bit of a challenge, and if somebody doesn't appear to have a sense of humour she will make it her life's ambition to get them to slip up, be embarrassed or get annoyed. Naturally, she easily upsets the most sensitive people, but is surprisingly sorry if she causes somebody to cry. If she's bugging someone she stops at once when she realises they're genuinely upset - although more often than not she'll just leave them rather than attempt to comfort them. Once she's decided that she doesn't want to annoy you any more, she can actually be a pretty nice friend.

Caplyso is a skilled acrobat, she can levitate and does to every opportunity she gets, even if it's more efficient to walk. She absolutely hates being grounded! She will do tricks in the air and when she's bored she will just hang upside down moping. The only time she doesn't fly is when she's really tired or if she starts to cry, both of which are very rare.
She is a complete optimist and will never, ever expect anything bad to happen. She'll quite happily mess about in situations which people might fear for their lives - she's not 'brave', just too confident.
She does a have a few fears, one of them is battling. Although he's prone to getting into a tussle, fully-fledged pokemon battles are not her thing and she will run away at once. She's also got Ochophobia, a fear of vehicles, and gets a little scared around most types of technology due to being in a tower since the medieval ages.
She is also very likely to lie to keep her own skin and cannot be trusted with a task or a secret. She's also extremely immature and more like an 8-year-old than a 22-year-old, this is mostly due to lacking a parental figure to tell her what's appropriate to do and what's not.

Hobbies:

Calypso loves teasing and frightening people, especially sneaking up on them in the shadows.
She's a bit of a hoarder and loves to collect things, mainly stamps, buttons and books. She's a bit of a bookworm, but good luck trying to get her to admit it! She also whittles and likes making tiny figures from wood.

Protect / Normal / TM / Makes a protective field that can't be broken by most moves.

Extras/Fun Facts:

- Her powers mainly include levitation and the ability to blend into shadows.
- She can use her dark void move to put people into nightmares, but only when she's very annoyed or angry. She can only use it to a weak degree since she doesn't use it much, so people recover quite quickly.
- She was born with the name Calypso and that's what she introduces herself as. However, the people in the town would call her 'Miss' or some alteration, so she decided to add it to her name. She likes to be called Missy as a nickname.
- Thanks to Sunny, she has something against cresellia and never trusts them. She tends to find all psychic-type pokemon a little untrustworthy, in fact.
- She can change the shape of her dress.
- She somewhat resents her nightmare related abilities despite her playful personality. If she does happen to use them it will almost certainly be by accident. This is mostly because of that happened last time she done it.
