UPDTATE: I Modified the States to make it more accurate, FINALLY!Making this map WAS A MESS!
The information on how their divisions were is incredibly messy and it took me a lot of time to figure it out into a pattern to fit the Strike Witches universe.
But after so much thinkering, I was able to figure it out and I am glad for that.
Russians are really fascinating people.
It is an interesting thing how Orussia is still an empire and Socialism never came to exists in the Strike Witches universe, it makes you feel the world of SW is pretty neat (Neurois aside) it is a really cool place.
Anyway, Enjoy!

Strike Witches is property of Humikane

Hmm, why this Slavic state does not believe in their old Slavic belief?

(Check April 30)
I've explained why that is the case in these stories.
Basically...blame Brave Witches for this nonesensical bullshit n_n

Yeah, to me, episode 6 of Brave Witches is the worst WW thing ever, it's such a bad episode in my opinion.

Um... The locations of cities are quite a bit off in the western part. The region you called "Vilna gov." is nowhere near Vilna/Vilnius, and same goes for Petersburg, Kiev, Odessa and Caucasus. So unless the cities (and a mountain range!) have been magically moved very far to the north in this world, those divisions are very wrong.

I am aware of that actually.
See the thing is that the map is very different from how it is in real life (It's more flattened), that's a constant theme across the SW universe maps, they all look very different from how they do in real life, so I had a hard time trying to pin point out where to put each thing, I wouldn't be surprised if I messed up.
What caused the world to be so radically different, I could only guess, but I know the distorsion IS intentional (As Africa and Australia look the same as they do in real life), so who knows, only Humikane would know.

The reason that the SW universe maps don't line up with actual maps is because Japanese animators work on a very tight schedule and they often overlook minor details like city placement. I've seen examples where they put Paris within Switzerland, so I'm guessing their grasp of Russian geography isn't exactly spot on.

Oh wow, seriously?
Yeah, originally I wanted to make USL's Map, but that map is a COMPLETE MESS, like seriously...is a disaster, nothing makes sense, California is tossed around to the side into a weird shape, Arizona and New Mexico are part of Azteca into what I assume is Alta California (But Main California is somehow still part of the US?) Texas seems to be considerably smaller (So much for Texan's pride) The Bahamas is part of the USL here apparently.
To make matters worst is the timeline, they state that the Civil War happened....however...the European Nations in the SW universe were not was "Slaverish" as they were in Real Life, so they wouldn't bring black slaves to Liberion (Considering many countries in Africa still retain their identities and Kingdoms such as Kingdom of Kongo, Kingdom of Oedraogo etc.) so if there is not a "slave tradition" in the USL...how did the Civil War happened? It either had a different cathalist or it's a mistake on Humikame's part.
In the end I gave up on the map and decided to do Orussia's one.
That's why I am doing these maps and flags, to help polish all those details the staff in SW missed up and try to build a solid universe filling in those gaps.

To me, it just looks like a somewhat different map projection, but I know nothing of the Strike Witches universe, so you might be right, of course.
However, in regions such as western Orussia, you can look at the natural boundaries (coastlines) and see where they lie and how they relate to our world.
