Description
The birthplace of Culture, All roadss lead to Romagna. One of my favorite nations in Strike Witches, I can imagine the amount of rich history it can have, here it was in the timeline where the world changed by having Ceasar survive his assasination attempt.
A Roman Empire where that lasted for almost 400 more years than it did in real life.
Very interesting place to see.
Anyway, Enjoy!

May I have permission to use this map as reference for the Duchy of Romagna? It's culturally the same Duchy of Romagna but was transplanted into the 21st century with modern day Italy's technological and economic capabilities and military equipment and uniforms.

Sure, no problem, as long as you give proper credit, you can use it for reference no problem.

Then maybe you can find an answer easier for this.
Is there a particular reason why Emilia Romagna would be associated more with Northern Italy and Venezia rather than South Italy? Maybe it had a big Lombardian population back in the day?

About the language, I know that Emilian and Romagnol are part of the Gallo-Italic group of languages of Northern Italy.
Unluckily I don't have much informations about it.
But in the end, I have the impression that they wanted to mark the concept of a "Land of Rome".
PS: Italians usually set the beginning of the South from Lazio and Abruzzi, so in the end Emilia Romagna is seen as part of Northern Italy.

Interesting, maybe that's why it's on the Duchy of Venezia then, althought yeah, it does seem pretty odd to call the land Romagna, maybe Humikane didn't realize what he had done until later and said "Screw it, let's keep it anyway"

What does this symbol mean btw?

It's a rooster holding a caveja, an object linked to Romagnol folklore.
Unluckily, even if I was born and raised in Romagna, I'm quite ignorant about its use and its symbolism

Nice .3.
I'd love to see one of these for Liberion, if you're so inclined

I've tried to several times but it is just all so incredibly confusing.
I REALLY need to study the evolution of each state, its history, then adapt that to the Strike Witches universe and its bizarre way in which the United States of Liberion is made
All I can tell you so far is that New Mexico and Arizona are part of Azteca (Mexico) and The Bahamas are part of the USL somehow
