Description
After much internal struggle to see this picture as an finish masterpiece I came to the realization that it will never be complete. Albeit, I present you to "Aurora". Many, many days went into this. I hope you all like this one. I have missed DA so much. School starts soon. I might give you guys more; depending how my schedule look. I used many brushes that i made. It is easy really, go outside in an overcast day and throw a picture of the sky. I however, used a phytoplankton bloom image from a satellite. [link] These make amazing nebula effects, i even used some techniques to make nebulae from this tutorial. [link] . Take care guys.Related content

This is easily one of my most favorite space art pieces. You've got all my favorite colors here in a nice soft palette, the nebulae cloud looks fluffy enough to poke, and it's all just so peaceful. It makes me happy to look at this.

fantastic work. using the phytoplankton bloom as a nebulae is a very unusual idea that ended with a great result for you.
I do have one really super nitpicky thingy that you may want to guard against in the future.
see the stars by the nebula and how the light spines face the same way that is the way they tend to do that in both our visual perception and that of camera telescopes.
the are a couple stars that I notice do not follow that rule.
there is a tiny red one at 7'o'clock, and another white blue one at 10:30 and a blue white one at the 2:00 position.

Thanks for the comment and insightful view too. You are right, it was me messing around with different star shapes. I also tried to mimic some of NASA's own imagery. Keen eye you have there, man. I will definitely look more towards having these features "match up" with the others surrounding them.
By the way, welcome to dA (Deviant-Art). And, good luck with major in art (speculating from your journal entry).

keen eyes or not I was still ogling those starfields trying to see how you constucted it partially in order to get better, partially because they were gorgeous.
thank you for the welcome and the luck.

"...I came to the realization that it will never be complete." I respect that, and understand where you're coming from. I struggle with that as well. This Aurora piece, however, is amazing.

Thank you so much. I am glad you liked it . Simplicity in an art piece (in my humble opinion) leaves a lot of room for imagination, which in turn is pleasing to the audience.
