Kteman Void Pirate:

a nomadic pirate empire of robots found in the kteman junction region. The pirates live in yurts made of space trash on airless moons and asteroids, packing up and migrating when driven out by larger empires. The pirates will often attack ships in the region and scavenge resources from the wreckage.

Proximan:

the human inhabitants of the proxima centauri system. The proximans are the oldest extra-solar human culture. Proximan culture prizes long term thinking and patience. Their society is incredibly formal and bureaucratic, it can take hundreds sometimes thousands of years to advance anywhere in society. Proximans hate being alone and often have personal AI advisors integrated into their neural interface that give them life advice or make conversation.

Ran:

the human inhabitants of the epsilon eridani system. The system is very densely populated and known as the second cultural capital of the core worlds. The epsilon eridani system was once the centre of the second terran empire before its dissolution in the mid 57th century.

Children of Laika:

A nomadic culture of uplifted dogs found in the core worlds. The children of laika name themselves after the first dog to enter orbit, this event is mythologized in their culture as a kind of religious martyrdom. The members of this tribe undergo gene edits to mimic the fur pattern of their namesake.

Space Squid:

Space squid are zero-g adapted squid uplifts. They have a cultish devotion to "the great space squid", a colossal vacuum adapted squid believed to live somewhere in the Jirakti-Qan asteroid field. It is not known if the great space squid is intelligent, a hive mind or just an animal they venerate for religious reasons. The space squids are so heavily derived from normal squids they feel uncomfortable in water and are crushed in normal gravity.
