Robots by this time in history behave more biologically than the ones in the 3rd millennium. Robots are usually a mix of traditional mechanical parts and nanite colonies that repair the robot’s wounds. Unlike biotics, robots consume pure energy and must acquire energy as frequently as humans breathe, this is usually done with an internal battery that recharges in the presence of wireless power grids or a solar collection hibernation state. Robots reproduce asexually although some robots choose to co design their offspring with their partner, after a robot is designed a swarm of nanobots is expelled by the robot that then uses the material components from the parent(s) to construct a “child” robot.

There exists no meaningful distinction between the mind of an AI and a Robot, but the two are viewed quite differently. Robots tend to be more concrete and down to earth, 11th millennium robots experience all the same emotions as humans, they feel love, happiness, sadness and even “eat”, sleep and reproduce. How robots process these emotions and carry out these functions is vastly different to that of a biotic sapient but the line between the two is blurry.
Robots have a less prominent sense of bodily integrity and are less hesitant to changes to their physiology. Robots have no concept of gender though some may present masculine and or feminine as a kind of fashion statement.
