this piece was made based on a big part in my childhood which was spent in foster care. a lot of people think there aren't any horrors being in foster care but there's a lot that people don't see because of the lies that are told and the fear a lot of children have and are to afraid to speak out or some adults just wont listen, that's not the case for everyone. but for me it was.
the above lyrics are "no love" by simple plan, i thought it screamed all the things i used to feel being in foster care.
Done in sketchbook pro6, on one layer, using a wacom bamboo tablet.

I really like this piece. All the best piece come from one emotions or experiences. I love the color, the eyes and how you handle the brush strokes even though they are mushy but I feel that adds to the pain that comes from this piece. I have always believed in the horrors that come from foster care homes. I have not experiences it myself but I am glad that you were able to put such emotion to a piece like this.

I think this was my first real emotive piece so I'm really happy you enjoyed it!
There are many great cases with some kids in the system but in certain areas such as NJ
have many corrupted caseworkers and bad homes in horrible areas. I hope maybe one day
they will get better.

It can be for a lot of kids sadly. The NJ foster care system is beyond corrupted and sloppy.

Guess what I've heard is true, and foster care is bullshit.

It can be yeah, my little sis lucked out because of being so young and special needs.
I was always upset so they wrote that I had severe anger and abandonment issues
and being 5 years older than my sister no one ever really wanted me.
I have heard kids who have it great and other kids who are happy that they were taken.
The NJ foster system has been corrupt for a long time, so many parents and kids have
complained of caseworkers placing kids in dangerous homes and falsifying information
and documents.
I don't know how other states are that much, Virginia is okay, or at least the caseworker
I had at least was a good man.
