Description
Stop saying wolves are so "misunderstood". They're not.Slugs can be so beautiful. They're almost unearthly beautiful.
Leeches have many medicinal purposes - they can relieve headaches and reduce swelling.
However, like all animals, they can be dangerous.

Tbh, I hate mosquitoes and I'm afraid of flies. Seriously, I have a phobia of them.
But you're right, they're important and misunderstood.

Also, Wolves aren't misunderstood. They're just underestimated.

Because being demonised for centuries totally doesn't qualify for misunderstood.

I have a friend who claims she cares about misunderstood animals such as squirrels. Yet she kills bugs on sight.
Hypocrisy much?

Coyotes are much much more misunderstood than Wolves. Infact, The Coyote is the most misunderstood canine in America.

Coyotes are one ofΒ the most misunderstood and mistreated animal in America. TheyΒ are considered to be pest and vermin to rangers and farmers andΒ everyday they are shot, poisoned, trapped and killed in huge numbers. Coyotes are responsible for keeping the rodent population in check. Coyotes are also a keystone predators and are very valuable to the Ecosystem. Without Coyotes, America would be overrun with rats and other rodents.

Although I hate mosquitoes (the spots itch!), they have an important part in the food chain. Cool huh?

Also I absolutely adore snails and slugs. I think they're beautiful and, despite the slow going, if I find them in the house or places they shouldn't be, I always put them somewhere safer.

Agreed. Any animal can be misunderstood, some moreso than others. I'll never like leeches, exactly, but that said, I know why they're used medically.
Pssst. By the way. You should totes add sharks. :3

Wolves ARE misunderstood. But so are those beautiful creatures. I only hate the female mosquitoes because once they bite me, the wound bleeds for three days strait. I don't die because it's small. But it still hurts.

I put flies/spiders/bees and sometimes even mosquitos outside. If there is a way to get it out without killing it then why not do that?

There's a small banana slug that lives in my mailbox. I throw it out, but it always comes back. I don't know why it wants to live in a mailbox, there's nothing to eat there...unless maybe it suddenly developed a taste for mail.

That seems pretty long compared to the lifespan of say...a mayfly, which only lives only one or two nights.

I love bats and snakes, I draw wolves because well , their bad ass animals. I know their not rare by any means and I actually don't have a problem with wolf hunting because it keeps populations down. As long as it's not in the winter. Shooting perfectly healthy wolves then could present a problem for the pack because they need as many hunters as they can get to track prey across the tundra and actually survive the winter.
