You should invest in a dedicated sketchpad or white copy paper and a clipboard. With clean lines and paper you can better scan your work.

Lol the clipboard revolutionized my drawing. Any boring waiting in line, government offices, and etc became a reprieve to draw. Hahahha sometimes I lamented the wait wasn't longer so I might draw more.
