One thing that always annoyed be about The New Batman Adventures was the fact that Riddler literally only showed up one time, for all of three seconds and one sentence of dialogue. I mean, Riddler is one of Batman's most famous enemies, and they just relegated him to a bit part in one episode.

One of the reasons I heard was because it was hard coming up with challenging enough riddles. Which I think is a cheap excuse! But he and Scarecrow would have showed up in Justice League Unlimited as part of the Legion of Doom, but the stupid Bat-Embargo ruined that plan.

You know, they actually had an episode of that mid-2000s cartoon "The Batman" literally tailor-made to use Scarecrow as the villain, but for whatever stupid reason, they scrapped him in favor of using Hugo Strange. Which just irritates me to no end.

Was it the zombie episode? because if that's the one you are talking about, it actually would have suited Strange pretty well because in his first few appearances he was a Mad Scientist who created monsters. But yeah they did that a couple times using villains like Ragdoll (who is a flash villain) and that stupid Toyman rip off! and then wasted an opportunity to use Mad Monk instead of Dracula in the BatmanVSDracula Movie.

I don't know anything about Toyman--I didn't watch past season 2 of the show--but I really liked Ragdoll. Mostly because the voice actor, Jeff Bennett, was clearly just having a blast.

Well, there was a character called Cosmo Krank or The Toymaker and he was just basically a renamed Winslow Schott. I liked Ragdoll too, the only problem is that he isn't a Batman villain. He is a Jay Garrick/Justice League villain.
