Description

So after pondering and testing things, I finally came back to make this a bit more complete. Who knows if it'll ever be done, but it's more perfect that it was in sketch form!

It's the underworld, or more accurately, the world that is spawned with the activation of the Battlecarrier Mercy's Reach, once linked with a hyper-quantum computer (extradimensional processing system), the ship created a well of resources and minds; Monument. The capital of the world, which shares the name with the planet, is a fortress keep designed as cover for a void dragon, Ax, who's dreams keep the otherwise barren celestial body teeming with life, in return for this life, even if a prison, allows the Battlecarrier access to everything it needs. Food, water, recreation beyond the ship, but it is a careful balance, each venture into the land beyond the central farms and laketown place great strain on the sleeping dragon. The world will collapse inwards on itself to force the individual(s) back to the "top layer of reality", or the faster than planetary time of Mercy (this creates a "compton effect" where the extents of an individual are scattered and solidified, Mercy's Reach acts as a collector of minds after death of a "slow body" or a body on a planet, etc. for many of the crew, they consider Mercy to be a ship that fairies the dead between lives as lifetimes can pass by when one enters the ship's computer.)

Lore note: The Mercy's Reach has fired it's main cannon, the 8m eclipse hypercannon, once, it was a test fire from a planetary surface, on Monument's tangent proxy world where Ax sleeps and is guarded by the Battlecarrier. Firing a projectile faster than light created a paradox that began to shape the planet's evolution over time from various resource needs, the cannon shot however has fractured the land and shifted mountains to form over eras as time catches up with Ax's dream, his world intermittently changing as the ship and crew interfere with the normal state.

Technical note: The inner diameter of the crater is about 1mi.

TL;DR the landscape is artificially shaped by the gravitational and psychic distortion to house a void dragon that while asleep for millennia lives as a human galactic pirate lord.

Thank you! I tried to recreate memories of flying, it's hard work, especially for specific detail and with hyper focused manga tools, but it's quite rewarding!
